Nancy, think you will enjoy this conversation I had with my husband a few days ago. I wrote down your 10 Thing to do Differently in Your Closet in 2025 and left my list on top of my jewelry box. Bob walked by, picked it up and said what is this? He began reading them aloud and went back to #1…One In, One Out. He said that was a great idea and he will start doing that! Look how you are changing the man in my life without him even watching your videos!! Now, can you help me motivate him to wash our windows?? 😅 Looking forward to watching your today’s video.
I have a wardrobe for all my different personalities; sometimes Boho, sometimes French chic, sometimes Coastal Grandma, etc. As a retired teacher, I donated all my professional clothes then thrifted my current wardrobe. I have tie dye, stripes, casual cozy, or beachy. I love the variety!
I did the same. We are not just one thing. I travel, I fish, I garden, I dance, I go to conferences, and all of these things require different styles of clothing. One style doesn’t work for all the things I do.
Such good advice - I feel so many of us shop for the life we would like to have, rather than the one we actually have. It's a hard lesson to learn - and I haven't mastered it yet (judging by the number of dressy tops I have, when I don't go anywhere!). Thanks for making us think about it.
Great advice! I also found a tip that really worked for me - write down what you do in a week, see where you spend your time in descending order, and purchase clothes accordingly. So, as a retired person who volunteers, most of my clothing should work for that with some nicer things for church and going out - sounds pretty elementary but it was like a revelation, because when I went shopping I was still drawn to fancier things that were not what I would actually be needing the most of.
Hello Nancy, I really needed to hear this one~ I just downloaded y9our style shopping guide. This is my goal to get myself together so I have a wardrobe that represents who I am at this stage of life. Thank you for inspiring me, a newly retired woman who wants to look and feel my very best.
Hi Elizabeth, I'm so glad you found the video helpful! 💕I have another video you might enjoy on switching up your wardrobe for retirement: ruclips.net/video/QFoMJgv6U10/видео.html
Great ideas, the 3 ways to wear it and taking care of your clothes resonated with me. I noticed a person I follow doing a live in her closet, she kept it immaculate(yeh I know she's on camera), but your wardrobe is a huge investment(even budget pieces). It is how you portray yourself to the world, take care of it as you would other important items in your life.
Great video today! Some tips of yours I found myself, but it is a confirmation to hear them from you... Other tips are new and worth being tried out. Thanks from Germany!
I finally switched out my clothes in my closet. I now have two trash bags in the guest bedroom full of clothes. And I stopped at the few things on the top shelf in my closet. My back was hurting. And I still haven’t done it yet. I’m cleaning today. The one granddaughter who still lives here in Georgia is supposed to be coming over for dinner tomorrow for dinner and go through the clothes. And I have a whole cedar chest full of sweaters I need to go through. Im hoping to do that before she comes tomorrow. Or she can back for dinner another time. She lives close. And we never see her. She works a lot and has a life. And we understand that. And because I’ve gained weight from taking steroids I had a lot of white button downs that just don’t fit me anymore. I think I have one or two so that works for me. I tried on all of the jeans I’m putting back in my closet. One pair was a little tight around the waist. But I’m going to buy some buttons you can move on Amazon for that pair. Plus I’m just eating less even though my new doctor raised my steroids. Which I’m not too happy about. But I refuse to gain anymore. So I’m actually just watch everything I eat. And how many calories it all adds up to. I know one thing I want this winter is a winter skirt. One that will keep me warm. There may be a time I might want to wear one.
Change is scary and not wanting to let go. All day Zoom in an office use to be heels stockings suits. Gorgeous pieces but hate to remove from my closet results in nothing to wear ugh
Hi Nancy, watching here from Philippines, i Love and like your styles, i try to wear like you do. i wish you can donate here some of your stuff, Thank you and God bless you 🙏💖🥰.
Hello. I retired after 42 years in corporate America. I have been looking for jeans. I have already spent a fortune trying different brands and styles but no luck. They are all so darn heavy to wear. So, I guess that jeans are not my style. The search continues…

I often wear fancy clothes when I’m just hanging around the house. It’s fun! Gracious living.
Awesome video and conversation Thankyou
Thank you for your advice, I like very much your style.
What happened to all your colorful Lily Pulitzer clothes?
I like them too and guess we'll see them in spring/summer again... Hopefully...
Where do we find Style Uncorked??? Not on Facebook...
Hi Kimberly, Here it is: www.skool.com/style-uncorked/about

What about if you have to wear a uniform 5 days a week x
Do you use a wardrobe app? If so, which one.
I so want to like specific comments!
