I know this is old but the killswitch set is fucking NASSSTYY dude.... i couldn't decide between the Adler set or the killswitch set but im glad i finally went with the killswitch set. The Adler set might have that bark but the Killswitch set has that bite and they can get fucking bone crushing. I really wish fishman would put out a video on how they custom voice their pickups. What ever they did to the killswitch set to sharpen the pick attack like they did and push it out front i wanna know...with that being said i dont really care much for the neck pickup...Granted killswitch isn't really known for their neck tones so its understandable....I actually went back to my fishman classic in the neck because its by far the best neck pickup i have ever heard...and apparently according to the video fishman put out about the Adler set his neck pickup is the classic as well.
DAMN! Now that's a fat guitar tone. Such a great combination those pickups with that beautiful Gibson 👌👌👌

In person do these look more gold or silver? I've seen videos and pictures where they look more gold and on where they look more silver. In this they look more silver. The guitar I'm thinking about getting these for has chrome hardware and I don't want the pickups to look too mismatched.

Can you demo how the volume and tone controls respond? Does it clean up well? Do you loose highs when you roll off volume? Is Tone control useful?
did you have any problems with the installation? does the pots that it come with fit in a les paul?
Do the dimarzio clip locks get in the way when you play? And do they damage the finish on your guitars?

Fluff, I noticed the willie adler set is wired for 2 volume/1 tone. Do you have a dummy tone or were you able to wire it like the modern set 2volume/2 tone?Cheers

Hi, i hace a question about the brigde pickup, it is possible to coil tap it? i know its not available to do a coil split, but i think the reverse of the pickup has that space that says "CT" and "H" if you could clear if that means you can coil tap to get a type of "voice 3" thanks!

I have a Gibson Les Paul Studio and I want to know if I need a long shaft or to get an extra fishman shafts for my Les Paul, like with the EMG´s that I needed to get a longer shafts for this particularly Guitar? eduardo montaño and anyone else: You need long shaft pots. Fishman sells them, or if you call they’ll exchange the shorts it comes with.

I really can't decide if I want these, the standard modern, the Killswitch ones, or the Devin Townsend pickups. I mostly play Metalcore and Melodeath.

Can you help me to decide what set I should go for? I love Willie´s guitar sound but I mean the Willie´s Set are a bit expensive than the Fluence Modern Set, but I don´t want to sacrifice a better sound for some bucks, or in the other way I don´t want to expend more money for a similar Fishman Set like the Willie´s... Hey ! Ryan ! I may be mistaken, but I think there's a few milliseconds of delay between the backing track and the guitar tracks. The guitar sounds a little bit late to me. Great vid as always nonetheless !

What exactly are DI files? Do you download them into your DAW and reamp there? I am confused.

TheEscalator I agree, I see so many RUclipsrs doing like one style of music for amps or pickups. Especially with product demonstrators in my opinion they are the worst. Like I'm checking out a Blackstar Stage 60 and darn near all the demos of it are classic rock. I want to hear it do good cleans on go to guitars for classic rock but why not guitars people go to for metal? If I had the money or the connections thats how I'd review things, a little bit for everyone.

Man...that has buttloads of character for active. Great choice of riff.
Something about these pups weren't that pleasant. Was the active voicing used for the first part? Just didn't sound all that heavy. Lacked body and just sounded a little fizzy. The passive voicing was ok.
I was kind of thinking that same thing. I'm wondering if in order to get a more full sound you might need to re configure your amp tone, preamp, and power tube's. I mean after all guitar pre amps/ amps, up to this point have all been configured with the guitars picking up the frequencies that seem to been eliminated with this new pickup design.

beautiful L.P. traditional. Yeah, I hear the "bark" you speak of. Sounds fucking excellent, although I think I prefer the regular modern Fluences. I cannot wait to drop some in something.

Ok, fishman is iterating signature sets too fast. arnoldplays did a shootout between the abasi/carpenter/modern sets, but wee need a comparison between all the sig sets and the modern/classic. Thank you for this vid, though!

Not really digging the tone on this one, the mix isn't really to my taste either but obviously you don't have my ears.
Regardless, pretty much all Fishman puts out are super versatile. Tried them a little while ago and they sounded gnarly through a Friedman BE-100.
