Also take into consideration that lenses tend to not be as sharp when fully wide open. Doesn't apply for every single lens ofcourse but generally, I don't think one could justify the price of the 2.8 if you already got a great deal on the F4

In beginning when canon released mirrorless camera ( i.e R series ) the lenses for mirrorless was not released, henceforth using adopter for EF lenses used, now RF lenses ( i.e lenses for mirrorless camera was released later after 7 - 8 months if i am right )
Only 1. Most cameras are 1 but R6 and R5 have dual Sd card slots. R5 has CFexpress as one slot instead of two Sd. If you don't want to spend the extra money go with R6.

The lens is awesome for video, but the camera is def better for stills. Ofc it takes good video, but I've heard that Videographers prefer other models over Canon EOS R. I have this exact setup and its more than enough to take GREAT photos. Up close, portraits, straight on flash, wide angle, somehwat macro as well.. The lens is a beast no question!

@@DaddyM7MD yeah that’s always funny to me when some f1-f4 lenses are said to be their sharpest at ~f8. Almost defeats the purpose for non video
The camera twists on and twists off the lens and pop off, and pop on cap sounds sound so satisfying! 😌
My main shooter is my EOS R. If you get the extended battery grip with the dial adapter and a range extender it really is a workhorse.

It’s an EF to RF Adapter. It’s required to use EF lenses with the newer RF mount.

Auto focus still working well?
Yes autofocus works just fine with the adapter. Try to steer clear from third party adapters though, always go with genuine canon.
