The book was great. The series is very similar, but it goes into #2's story more and the things he does. The therapist/#2's girlfriend's fate isn't spelled out in the book, but I like that she's the one who gives the original Jason the key to finding his home world. Jason and his wife trust their son to select a new world because he's an artist like his mom, but he's even more talented and loves to draw detailed, fantastic, beautiful landscapes that aren't real - so they give him time to think about it, then trust their son's choice. Oh, and there wasn't a twin brother in the book, but I guess they added it in the show so Jason could run into him when he was expecting Charlie.
Good point, but if he had thought it out further, he would have realized the multiple universe theory. I had an incident once where strange circumstances happened multiple times to prevent me from taking medication for a bad infection. When I finally had a chance, I checked it out more carefully and discovered it was actually penicillin, which I am deathly allergic too. It would have killed me since it would have taken me hours to get to medical care. I sometimes wonder if there are multiple universes where I died.
Jason Prime kept getting stuck in crappy worlds because the descriptions of the worlds he wanted to reach were his emotional impressions, not hard parameters. A world totally devoid of life can be quite "peaceful". This is the flaw in various magic/fantasy stories when a character is given three wishes and all turn out to utter disasters.
Yes, they did overdo the number of Jasons by at least 50%. And the fact that only one of the 75-something of them wanted to steal his life… which is why they all came to his world in the first place… was just too convenient. As was the seemingly "perfect" world Jason-Prime and his family all find on the first try, even though it took him almost 100 tries… and multiple near-death experiences… just to get back to a home world that he knows intimately well.

The one part of the show that stood out to me as a possible plot hole was the that the characters stated the box only opens at the same location across all realities after they started using the gps tracker. So what about the instance of the box that fell into the sea in the flooded Chicago timeline they found themselves in? It appears the ground/building that would have kept the box at the position it spawned at from changing wasn't there so the box immediately fell and sunk into the sea. Thus after they closed the box and re-entered superposition that would mean all possible realities they could access would be at the new position the box was at before he closed it again. Wouldn't that basically make the original realities he was trying to get to inaccessible as then the box would appear underground? (in fact one instance where he tried to enter a world seemingly had the box underground) Curious on what happened in that one world that has an enlarged Sun and no atmosphere. The Sun didn't go red giant...because he would have immediately died as soon as the door opened as the sun would have either engulfed the Earth or be large enough to take up the entire sky. It would would have scorched everything on the surface. There would be no buildings or anything recognizable on the surface and the ground in some places might even be molten. He would not have ever got the chance to close the door again. Bodies would have immediately evaporated. Clearly not the case there. Some other odd disaster happened to the Sun in that world. Seemed to have been enough to strip the planet's atmosphere though. so sadly unless they arrived in space suits there was no exploring what went wrong in that one. :P The very first world they encountered is interesting too. It seems like maybe a volcanic event of some type happened? That or a significant asteroid strike occurred. The ash falling kinds hints at those two possibilities. It seemingly happened a significant time ago though as the trees shown to be already dead and bare of leaves. When the sun gets obscured by ash like what appears here, the trees would take awhile to die from the loss of sunlight and after that longer still for the branches/leaves to dry up and fall off. So looks like that world's been dead for awhile. Especially considering as the buildings aren't in great shape either as they started collapsing around them almost as soon as they got there. :P I don't think it was nuclear war in that one. Chicago would be ground zero of one of the many nuke that would have gone off plus ash clouds aren't something nukes are known for. :P They would have found them selves in a empty waste land at that particular location in all likely hood.
You got a few things wrong. The first person who bought the gun wasn't Jason 2, but another version of Jason1. The double chases Jason1 after the hotel, not the other way round. And the person Jason1 meets at the bar is another double, not the same one who gave him a chase. What you are describing as Jason3 multiple times, are all different copies of Jason 1, so Jason 4, 5, 6... and so on.

Where did he get dark matter?
It's not Dark matter, it's a drug called Lavender Fairy. There's a shit ton of details that the narrator got wrong in this recap video so I'd recommend watching the show or a better recap instead, if you can find one
@@alby_alby Nice, thx for the info.

Schrödinger's Ka'ba.
Schrod's cat is overused to the point of animal abuse. Kill the trope, not the kitty.

Like here if you also love interdimentional madness ❤❤❤
Great show. To understand the 4th dimension is something beyond our minds understanding to see the quantum realm with our eyes. The way that they described it reminded me of interstellar. To be able to not only see the multiverse but be able to control it and visit it is amazing. I think both Ryan and Amanda both ended up in two wonderful 🌎 where clean energy is real, the world is at peace with green technology and greedy and pollution doesn't exist.

Jennifer Connelly has aged well.
8:20 anything with Jennifer Connelly in it, I’m 100% all for!
I’m pretty sure she’s a vampire! She doesn’t age!
She is friends with Tom Cruise. Probably share the same newborn blood anti-aging treatments.
