Hello Nick, and thank you so much for this review! As a woodworker at Botnia I've really been waiting for you and other RUclipsrs to film this new 3cabin 46!! The positive response by the boats owner, you and your viewers make the work we do really worthwhile!
That’s fantastic, great job! 😃
You should be justifiably proud. A lovely boat, beautifully put together.
As a simple man with simple thoughts: I would like machines, drives, Scatra, PSS-seals, shafts and rudders. Stern thruster and trimtabs.
Just don't like/trust sterndrives and pods. Otherwise would the same 46 without the flybridge be nice 👍🏼!
shame these things cost so much that hardly anyone gets to see them..
Nick there is a lot to be said for simple and robust engineering that lasts for decades and this fantastic yacht is a superb example. My marina here in Florida is crammed with 5-10 year old yachts that are fitted with complex electric doodads that no longer work and are simply too expensive to fix or the parts are no longer available. I love this boat with its sturdy construction and no nonsense layout. The Finn's certainly know what they are doing when it comes to practical yacht building.
Doodad's. Haha. A nice substitute for gizmo's. 👍
Or watchamacallits
Thingamajigs. 😁👍
KEEP THEM COMING! 😃
Gadgets.😀
As a finn who loves Targa boats you just made my week!!! I have prayed for this video and looks like God finally allowed it to happen. Also on the best boat review channel!
Thank you! 🙂
This boat offers everything you need from a 46 and then some more. Great tour as always.
"Hosedownable"..... You made this Tuesday just a bit more inderesting, Nick...
I've always loved the Swedish/ Finnish yachts. Practical, yet comfy design, tough as a nail, and decently stylish
I love the attention to detail you give when showing the boat and its features round. I'll probably never own a yatch, unless I win the lottery or so, but my knowledge on boats are already above average just by watching Nick's videos.
I love that it’s like a little secret passage to the 3rd room
That third cabin would make a great utility room for extra refrigeration, washer dryer and storage for longer distance. You could even put a nice water maker down there lots of options nice boat
The "wasnt that funny" comment when you swivled the chair had me bad laughing at 3 in the morning 😂 really sharp haha great video as allwasy and the sneeky cabin is great
The interior is impressive. I mean 3 . bedrooms on a boat that size is awesome. I could party on this one. Thank you Nick
Glad you like it!
Botnia Targa, Sargo and Nordstar are my absolute favorite boat types and styles. No fuzz and no frills.....Thank you Nick...brilliant as always. I also love your Motoholic Channel.....
Awesome, thanks! 🙂
They are under constant pressure to keep up with the frippery and "clever" Jones's, though, these days. Cleverly Instagrammable ooooh-ahhhh sell these days. While solid and traditionally shippy is boring and Grandpa.
At least for people's first boat. Lets hope enough of them don't get completely turned off boating by the hassle of maintaining all the frippery and cleverness as it turns into leaks and rattles and mold and rot, that they continue to turn up in sufficient numbers to keep yards like Botnia building solid and traditional.
fantastic timing with the chair swivel laughter
Gray skies and a brightly lit boat looks very cozy
When you toured the earlier 46 I thought they couldn't ever improve on it, but they really have. That third cabin makes this the perfect boat. Going for a trip and not having to worry too much if the forecast gets it wrong and you have to make the return in snotty weather is a big win.
A bit 'Spartan' ! - kitted up for a Special Forces weekend ! cheers Neil
Always like your presentations, but I think it is the socks that keep me coming back ;)
Great review Nick, glad you enjoyed the 3 Cabin layout. We sure do! 👍
Thank you very much! It's an awesome boat. 🙂
Nick...thank you for brightening my day. Hearing you describe your OCD that way warms my heart. Not because I take pleasure in the troubles of others, but because it makes it that much easier to relate to you. I too would be rendered apoplectic until the uneven handles of that throttle were set right. 😂💯✌
Can tell you're back on your own turf where the boat owners have the decency to give you some space to film without fighting a crowd. Bravo.
I love to see a Yacht like this with hidden rooms. Very nice Yacht
A smuggler's dream. Put a false floor under the navigator's seat, and throw in some books, binoculars, and other items normally found at the helm, and nobody is the wiser.
Thanks for the tour Nick. As a native Finn I'm always happy to see Finnish boats & the practicality that they offer.
Hey Nick you really cannot beat those Finns when it comes to practicality from the cabin layouts to use of teak in the boat (we could almost smell it too) and all the extra space on the flybridge....perfect, great tour as usual and have a great day bud
Loved the headroom over the bed in the third cabin. You don't feel like your in a coffin.
Very practical boat.
I keep coming across one of these on the water around Vancouver and up the coast. My dream boat. One of them anyway.
My lunch is not complete without a video from Aquaholic, and this one did not disappoint at all. From the child-height hidden sink at the stern to the stowaway cabin mid-ship and the finale' of the spinning us around before the engine room tour, fantastic!
I had lunch too during his video!
@@jeremyevans9521 🌞👍
Every 5-6 months I find a new dream boat on this channel
innovative, boat-like, manual practicality. Love it. The builders have obviously spent time at sea and know their stuff. This is the first boat video that I've gone straight back to the start and watched the whole thing again, immediately after finishing it. So very impressed. Well done Nick for bringing it to us and well done Botnia for making it real.
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Stunning and another double berth in the saloon with high low table
So sleeping 9
Brilliant
What an incredible, beautiful and well thought out compact Targa 46 boat with all it's hidden extra blessings for an owner, family or friends to enjoy on the waters.
Geez Nick, two great boats in one week! This one along with the Sargo 36 Fly are on the top of my short list. I think I would use that 3rd cabin strictly for storage. Have the builder substitute the mattress configuration for built in shelves and extra outlets. You could have everything in there i.e. food, drink, engine parts and filters, maybe an extra fridge/freezer for long cruises along the Gulf coast...etc. Great video as usual. Greetings from Texas...John B.
That's a great idea, it would be like a utility room.
Great idea, already have a solid rear cabin and a third bed in that “pilot berth”. Could really make this a journey vessel
@@AQUAHOLIC Exactly. I always think about the engine parts and tools you would need to fix something when you're out at sea i.e. replacing a belt, an alternator, having to remove the prop because of a tangle, etc.
If you do that, hence don't strictly need full bed length: Turn the rear cabin bed lengthwise again. Targas are "solid" but, at least unless fitted with a Seakeeper intended for a ship in that giant engine space, they do, like all planning boats, roll sharply in certain anchorages and conditions. So, sleeping lengthwise, if possible, is preferable.
A very intriguing layout with three decent sized cabins. I can see this being popular.
I like the simple practical engineering in certain areas which will almost certainly mean less repairing of the little things.
A lovely walk through as always Nick.
I've been sitting watching your videos with a broken ankle and torn ligaments for two months which has helped me with my boredom.
If you could get your editing head on Nick and bring me some more I'd appreciate it.
OUCH! 😲
I really, really love the smell of Targas. Can’t describe it, I just get a very positive feeling after having spent many ours in them.
Random people laughing “it wasn’t that funny” had me in stitches 😂👌
What a neat boat. 3.5 cabin design, brilliant. Nothing pretentious, except maybe all that beautiful teak inside, just wonderfully practical and usable. Another great tour on another great boat, thanks.
You said it Nick..fantastic. This boat would be my choice
What a beautifully built yacht, I'll keep doing the lottery. Lol 😂
This is great. I love the targas generally. That 3rd room is pretty cool and basically free space wise.
I think you mean the fourth room. This boat boast three cabins an the pilots cot next to the aft cabin. You could argue that’s it’s a for cabin layout is what Nick said.
Yes! this is totally "my" ship! I would gladly buy something like this if I had the money (and not visually impaired). It has class, looks invincible, functional yet luxurious. Yes, I would put my money on this. Thank you Nick for this nice review. ❤️
Thanks Nick I think this is my new favourite boat. Will never go out of style
That really is a work of art, a beautiful, practical & bulletproof boat if ever I saw one. I love these things . Great tour Nick
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
‘Voila’ as they say in Finland. Too funny. Love it ! great layout. Thanks Nick!
Glad you liked it! 🙂
My favourite boat by my favourite RUclipsr. Last one was a bit short. Looking forward to it.
Hope you enjoyed it!
Glorious boat! I've been aboard 50-footers with less spacious accommodations. And a fine seagoing boat that lets you get beyond sight of land.
With this craft, no problems with headlands around us, Start Point, Prawle Point, Portland Bill, Needles Channel, what ever the winds and tides are . Even wind over tide with a south easterly between Orestone and Mewstone rocks! .I know have got caught out there , not nice. But with this bad boy, no problem. Great review.
What they have in Finland is the word SISU,Nick that could be summarised in this boat, and SISU stands for, endurance, stubbornness, and strength, a national character for our neighbours east of my home country Sweden, cheers and thanks again for an awesome video Nick.
That TV set up is genius. Definately an idea for a 'TV in a table' 👍
Amazing. When retirement comes the Sargo 45, Targa 46 and then more comfort cruisers like Nordhavn and Grand Banks are going to be a very hard choice. This three-cabin layout is absolutely amazing.
Sounds like a fantastic retirement plan. The vast majority here will absolutely never be able to afford so much as the crew cabin on a yacht.
@@CC3GROUNDZERO Start small, stick to a plan, make good choices, work hard, don't get divorced.
You'll get there.
@@navajasrs2402 Nonsense. Capitalism makes it categorically impossible for the vast majority of people to ever experience luxury like that. I care about my fellow human beings. You will probably never get there, to be quite frank.
@@CC3GROUNDZERO Ha. Alright. Such an odd vitriolic reply to someone merely cheering your future. Keep on saying it's impossible to yourself and stay comfortable right where you are. Can't tell if your toss away presumptuousness insinuates that I will never care about my fellow human beings, if I'll never afford the above-mentioned boat, or both.
Either, if you care to know, are so far from reality as to be comical.
Great boat! If I noticed correctly it also has the double engine instrumentations side by side ala Windy, very nice.
I just love Targas!! I’m a 26 soon 27 year old Guy and i’m all into these Targa and Sargo boats! I just love them, they get’s me going more than any 60ft Yacht.. i’m from Sweden so maybe it’s not a suprise… but i just sold on the classic look, and the woodwork inside and everything! If i had a billion in the bank a Targa 46 would be what i went for, is it just me that is This Young and like these boats? I feel alone😅
As always my flag makes me feel proud of my nationality. And when we make products like this I feel that same pride. Targa is propably one of the best made serial produced boats on the market today. And a boat for life!
Hi, do you know what the hull is made of, is it steel , aluminium or fiberglass? thanks 😀
@@magpiefrogfrom2556 fibreglass
@@robertlindstrom540 Thanks ,
I LOVE this style of boat. High quality, but not overly complicated. Who needs a fancy fitting on a drawer when you can just drill a hole in it instead?
despite them been very unique, you can put your guests is matching sized cabins. i dig that,
7 berths! On a 46 ft boat and not really cramped either. Incredible use of space and an improvement on what was already a lovely boat. And pretty much all weather too. You could have so much fun on that.
That table looks suspiciously like you could drop it down and put a infill on it, so you could probably make it 9 in a pinch.
I can't believe they managed to find room for another double cabin!
Think I'd sacrifice the rear single for a washing machine and an extra freezer.
@@dereksmith6126 The standard 2 cabin already has a smaller "cabin" perfectly suited for a utility room behind the front cabin. While this 3 cabin layout is undeniably clever, not to mention a tour de force of marine cabinet making and woodworking and exact planning, design and measurement; I think I'd pick the initial layout, unless I strictly needed all those double beds. I would opt for the extra large, full width bed in the front, though! Screw side access to the bed on a boat which can roll. With lots of people on board, I can imagine shuffling around to pop up seats every time someone needs to get something out from a cabin underneath what will be the most popular seat while steaming, could become annoying after awhile.
Not going to lie, I was a little disappointed to find out it wasn't a rocket launcher...
I love this type of boats and the Botnia's in particular. In this price range I wouldn't look for any other boat.
Great practical boat ideal for British waters. Strong safe and well built but does offer good comfort.
Very well engineered yacht. Thanks again Nick for this great review.
My pleasure!
I'm onboard with these updates !
Practical layout, 3 cabins, Lots of storage, decent range and performance. What's not to like . Thanks for showing us around Nick.
Thanks for watching!
Fantastic little boat at a great price
Thanks Nick, If I had a spare £700k that's my sort of boat. Nothing too fancy, no bragging, just a solid working pleasure craft...Job done! It's sort of the Landrover of the water. All the best.....
What a great boat, so we'll designed. That extra cabin adds so much more use to this boat, same as the extended fly
As always Nick.. A fabulous review. Thank you! And thanks for your thoroughly engaging yacht/boat reviews!
The sheer practicality & seaworthyness of all the Botnia range makes these boats perfect for UK waters & UK weather all year round. Never mind 7 figure super yachts, I'd be perfectly happy touring the British Isles, all seasons in one of these. I can tell you have a soft spot for practical boats Nick. Super Yachts... Pah! Come the day funds (or lottery win) allow - Botnia will be getting a call!
Lovely little ship. Ingenious 3 cabin - comfy looking, tasteful and well engineered. Thanks Nick!
I love the layout of this lovely & simple but yet elegant yacht. I wish we can have this here in Australia
Great tour of an interesting boat. Very sturdy with a practical layout. A lot packed in to 46 feet and it appears to be built to give the lucky owner many years of use. Well done Nick!
Call me a Targaryen ❤️...I could live on that, I love it when a manufacturer over delivered 🔥 brilliant 👍
Love the decking and the sturdy simple way this is put together. Everything just works and will continue to work. Stern Drives are nice also - real sporty.
Interesting boat Nick, solid, I can see the Scandinavians enjoying the fishing with this one.
Absolutely fantastic! Everything about it just makes so much sense, from how the cabins are laid out (each with its own stairs, so you don't waste space on hallways) to how there's a place for everything. On top of which it looks like a boat, not a floating condo. Love it! Thanks for showing us around!
Very nice. I love the dark wood everywhere. Outstanding boat.
It's screaming out for teak decking imo. A nice practical boat!
I really really appreciate and love the over built wood work onboard it's sweet.
Great to see proper engines as well in this! Great yacht!
I like the standard Botnia 46 but I really like the 3 cabin version. a very clever use of the space and the rest is just how I would like a boat to be. excellent walk through too.
Love it, I love the clever design, practicality and absolutely fabulous!
Love this layout.
Been dying to see you get on board one.
Thanks Nick.
I see you got rid of the “New” camera. The one thing I did notice was a modest low light benefit, likely not enough to warrant the extra cost.
*You do the BEST, MOST THOROUGH and DETAILED walk-thru’s of small watercraft and motor yachts than Anyone on RUclips.* Never miss a show. Well Done, Well Done.
Thank you! 🙂
GoPro is easier for busy boat shows.
The always positive way to present boats is a brilliant idea, every one makes his own opinion and that's a pleasure to discover stressless another kind of boat, a new version, a clever idea.... go ahead this way !
So much to offer at price that would open this world to the masses. Brilliant engineering and construction. Such a beautiful beast. Tough and robust. Will done Nick!
The best boattype ever!
The interior brougt back some memories 😅 i was driv.. Ahem CAPTAINING! and definitely knew what i was doing with a Targa that was a step smaller than this one, standing on the chair, head out the hatch, steering with my feet and full throttle passing the owner, at the helm of a bigger Targa he was testing... We thought he was away for business but was shopping for a new boat on the sly from his wife 🤣. We were only supposed to sleep in the boat, but we never caught flak for our commandeering. Except the next time we asked for a boat to use for sleeping we got a sailingboat and the owner took away the 1,5hp outboard electric engine after tying it to the pier.
One of my great life lessons I got from Aquaholic...
Always leave things the way you found them!
Beautiful boat. Love the. teak. I'm glad you found some deck chairs in that zipper compartment under the engine hatch. I was going to comment how the boat lacked aft seating
It certainly is something a little bit brilliant!
Love the Botnia’s and this one is just as epic as the rest, possibly a bit more so.
Great tour too - I’m very happy you checked the storage bins under the engine hatch, I needed to know too!!
Top build quality, super practical and they look good as well!
What a lovely piece of engineering! I sometimes find these more traditional boats a little dour, but this one's a little beauty that just screams fun weeks away exploring coves and coastlines. Everyone gets a proper little hideaway to themselves - and sleeping for 7 in proper cabins (or 6 with a box and suitcase room) on a 46', amazing! Quicker than it looks as well! Great tour as always, Nick.
Thanks Nick. Love the socks! (I have the same pair...!)
That 46 or 47 whatever it is is awesome I cannot believe they got so much into such a small package and did it well
4 X 4 of the seas...Beautiful boat...Another great looking boat Nick 🙂
Not just a practicol but also stunning looking boat for a traler stylew and also the rubber around the boat made it quite slick
Thank you Nick Brilliant filmography
They really do pack in the functionality and practicality into these.
Hi Nick, And a hugh thanks to you for bringing this nice show of this Botnia Targa 46 that was a long time a go when you did the last show of a Botnia I love this brand and a lot of space on this type great, nice that 3 cabine hidden under the settee and make me smile thinking about a show where you for get a cabine like that Thanks again Nick a great show
Nick, I’ve watched so many of your videos that when, as is my wont, I look at VR tours of yachts, I do it in the same order as you would!
Fantastic! 😄
Impressive "little" yacht. Granted, it's just 4 feet short of fifty feet - it doesn't appear to be that large. Fitted with three cabins that are also a clever surprise. I'll bet driving this baby feels like steering a runabout on a calm lake - total control. Priced for practicality while fitted out for fun, to me, this is a winner. Great way to start my Tuesday - with a pocket yacht tour by Aquaholic. Thanks, Nick - nice find.
That little 4th "cabin" honestly looks so fun to sleep in.
A few ‘Heath Robinson’ engineering solutions that actually are very practical & charming. Lovely teak interior & an amazing ‘Tardis’ layout! Nice! Thanks Nick 👍🏻
Our pleasure!
Love love love this utilitarian go anywhere do anything vessel! Wonderful accommodations with a super practical layout. The dual stainless counter rotating props will perform beautifully and it’s nice to be able to raise your out drives so you can get into shallow areas without dinging the props. It looks like the Bimini for the fly bridge is stored under the engine lid or is that to cover the cockpit. No, after a second watch I realized that Nick did indeed say “deck chairs” which makes much more sense. Thanks for showing us the three cabin layout Nick. This gem is definitely on my shortlist.
What a cool ship!
