First comment! 😂 And another lovely piece. I failed big time this week with the credit card technique. It tore my Bockingford paper. It was still too wet. I've gone back to granulating paints for rocks now. Arches is so much tougher.
Thanks for being the first to comment 💪🏻 timing is everything when it comes to scratching! Also, understanding the limits of your paper 😊 Try waiting until all of the wet shine has dried and the paint is just damp. Also, using a lot of pigment can help. Don’t give up! 😊
@RobinMakesStuff It works on other papers, even cellulose. I'd never tried it on Bockingford before. That paper is a bit more 'fibrous', and I took the top layer of the paper off. Oops. Or maybe my pallet knife was a little sharp. It looked OK 'from a distance' in the end. Lol
@RobinMakesStuff It's a joy to paint on, but does buckle if not taped down. A bit tricky in my sketch pad. I prefer their blocks. Ultimately, I am an Arches and Etchr gal. I'm trying to use up some of my hoard and not buy any more supplies this year. I need Artists Anonymous 🎨

Interesting. I haven’t tested that paper before but you’ve got me intrigued 😊
