Guys - this is a helpful video for some but for me it did not help. If you simply google macos mavericks to _____ (any mac os version you want) You then click on supporting apple link and boom! Im attempting an update from mavericks to mojave as its an older macbook air 2014 (not my machine, its my moms)

please go to google using safari and search for the Catalina and install from there ! if it did not help try to use USB method what i have on my video !

Press/Hold Command + R ,when you turn on your computer before it reaches the ? 📂
Shutdown and then restart and press the comand + R then it will switches in internet recovery mode enter your wifi and then it will.complete internet recovery mode in 13 hairs then go on install macOS.....

Yes you have to Sign In with Apple ID but you have to generate a 2 factor authentication code and have to enter the code follow by the password on password box

If you stuck on the part of the authentication verification on the AppStore make sure you’re adding the verification code (that you got on your mobile) to your Apple ID password.
For ex :
Apple ID : 111@gmail.com
Password : blabla
Your authentication code : 145-569
Apple ID password should be blabla145569

Use a wired keyboard and mouse hopefully it will help
