He did look ah beng but won me over when he say it's not man or woman thing, everyone got feelings. He seems mature enough n trying to do better than previous gen. Kudos for that.
Props to both CNA Insider for featuring this and bringing awareness to this lion dance troupe and to Nicolas for carrying on the tradition, breaking stereotypes and being a mentor to others despite your young age. I think I can speak for a lot of us who are not on tiktok and unaware of your initiative. Keep going and do your father/family/country/Chinese traditions proud!
Very proud of this young man Nicolas that is trying to keep the tradition going. Continue to believe in what u are doing and I believe u will make it some day, is just a matter of time.
i am from Malaysia, and the surce you guys are restrain and still manage to go thought is really special! Is a story and displine! This men is born to have leadership
Lion dancing is great. It is a combination of performing arts, martial arts and physical sport all rolled into one. Our government should encourage this activity as it helps builds confidence, pride, resilience, teamwork, leadership and a competitive spirit. It provides young men and women, an outlet for physical activity in which to occupy their time in a good productive way, in the same way as sports like football does for middle & working class in the UK. So they have little spare time or energy, to be lured by others into undesirable activities. Besides improving physical coordination, physical fitness, cultural traditions are passed down, thus strengthens community bonds, in turn helps young people to feel a sense of belonging and above all, brings alot of festivity to our communities.
I always love watching the lion dance performance since my childhood years, we should preserve this culture that’s slowly fading, it’s part of our heritage during the lunar new year period. 😊
I don't understand those who complained about the noise..come on lah, it's not like they play for 24/7. Similar goes to Chinese wake, Malay wedding, etc.
well " gangsters " are the one who save your mother from the real bad people when shes walking home alone at night . not gona count on you useless son that only hates everyone
