If you can pass this on to Julia, because I know you're friends, you should tell her to look for a quarter sized battery called an EPROM, remove it while the computer is unplugged for 20-30 seconds and then replace it. I fixed the same problem on a computer a long time ago. I don't know if it'll work here. Just trying to help.
As a deaf subscriber I just wanted to shout out how awesome the subtitles are on this channel! I rarely feel (even with subtitles) that I am getting the same experiences as a hearing person but I definitely feel included on this channel ❤❤
I've noticed that as well! I only notice how much subtitles help my adhd and autism when they are not there and I have been just sitting and listening but not understanding for a few minutes 😂
I turned them on because of this comment, the subtitles are amazing. Whoever did them, sincerely thank you. Edit: The credit for subtitles is in the description. WhisperX, thank you for your time and effort, it really shows and it makes a huge difference.

Yes! I was lowkey seething like “what is even the difference between a cakey brownie and a chocolate sheet cake, then????” 😂 Brownies are all about that nice, succulent, dense texture, and if you don’t like that, then you don’t like brownies, you like chocolate cake, and that’s fine!
J+J have clearly never had Duncan Hines, the standard for Fudgy vs. Cakey brownies -Two eggs = fudgy; good, an actual brownie -Three eggs = dry ass crumbly cake, an offense to brownie-kind
To quote Brennan Lee Mulligan: the best indicator of whether I will enjoy a meal is whether it is heavy. If the brownie doesn’t leave my mouth melded shut and force me to go for a glass of milk before I can speak, you’re doing it wrong
The Warrior language being constellation-based, and thus typically having abstract depictions of the things themselves, helped me figure out the glyphs for the four bells despite failing to notice the torch being interactible, allowing me to progress even though I initially couldn't access the treasure room. It was fun seeing that connection when I backtracked to complete my journal.
Nothing has ever been said or done on this channel to cause the level of upheaval and anger than throwing shade at fudgy brownies without realizing that box brownies which they said are superior are what most of us define as fudgy.
it's crazy because when people said they didnt like cakey brownies because it was dry, they were like " well those are just bad brownies we're not talking about those, we're talking about a normal level of cakey" but then when people were saying they liked fudgy brownies they were like "no way you like those EXTREMELY dense WET mushy brownies, that's what we mean when we say fudgy, anything above that is in the 'cakey' category and you just dont know what a fudgy brownie is" jacob, julia, we are also talking about a normal level of fudgy when we say we like fudgy brownies, a brownie can be fudgy without being a wet glob just like a brownie can be cakey without being a crumbly dry mess, come on now.
Yeah, it seemed to me that it was largely that the definition of things being disagreed on made people take it very seriously rather than the preference. I think Julia based her definition on the idea that brownies are by definition kinda "fudgy" or sticky/chewy. There's after all a pretty big difference between having some of a texture and being all that texture. That's what I got.
The picture Julia showed for "cakey" brownies is actually a chewy brownie. It's a mix between cakey and fudgey and is actually what your basic box mix will instruct you to make. That's also why chat didn't quite notice a difference, because there's very obvious fudgey texture to the middle while also displaying the crumb of a cakey brownie. Cakey brownies have more of a rise, making them taller than fudgey and chewy brownies, and will have the obvious crumb/aeration throughout the entire brownie.
Yea this fell quickly into a semantics discussion more than a 'how do you like your brownie' discussion. bc what she showed was for sure the happy middle ground most folks aim for. Personally I like my brownies with chonks of chocolate in them, so I deffo fall into the fudgey category. I don't think I've ever had a true cakey brownie that hasn't been dry b/c of the ingredient ratios longer backs almost always mean its real dry unless you modify the recipe for a longer bake.
@porkinsdlx5764 you don't really need to bake them longer (althoufh admittedly i just make brownies Until They're Done) to make them cakey, you need to use different ingredients. if doing it with boxed mix, you have to use butter instead of oil and milk instead of water, and add an extra egg or two depending on how many it calls for by default (three is the goal). they come out when a knife in the center comes out without raw batter. i remember most boxes having those instructions printed on them but idk. maybe only certain brands.
@@porkinsdlx5764that's why most people are appalled when they hear someone prefers cakey brownies. That's also why they tend to put frosting on cakey brownies
@@triangleshinyyeah, box mix usually has instructions for cakey. The ones I've seen don't change the oil and water to butter and milk though. right?! like, fudge does not have the same texture as a fudgy brownie. it's like creepy vs wet. fudge is creepy, fudgy brownie is wet. unless we're talking hot fudge, which is entirely different from solid fudge. obviously as a sauce, it is wet.
Yup. Kinda disappointed to find out it's just a Dagwood Dog. I always imagined a corndog would have more corn in it... like a Chiko Roll. Also, if you think a Corndog is all that, you should try a Battered Sav.
Just as someone who watches every vod (but I’m a lurkers lurker, because I live in an opposite time schedule/life zone). Big thanks to Khaz!!!!! And Jacob/Julia drawfee!!!!! For helping this autistic get through life without constant stimming 🖤🖤🖤🖤
look it doesn't matter but to me cakey->fudgy is a spectrum and I prefer more fudgy over more cakey. and those box brownies are probably actually a p good balance between the two to me
If you eat cakey brownies, you might as well eat dry ass chocolate cake.. Unless it's so fudgy, it falls apart when you try to pick it up or so chewy it sticks to the inside of your mouth, why are you even eating brownies..
I’ve researched it. There are chewy, cakey, and fudgey brownies. It’s something about the eggs. I think I’ve had good fudgey ones but cakey is usually where you can’t miss

I paused the to leave a review on the game, and it already has "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews on steam. edit, they said it had overwhelmingly positive reviews very shortly after I resumed the video.
I know Jacob said it doesn't matter as long as he knows the right answer but it's killing me watching them not write down their guesses and therefore not remember that time they said the right answer ten minutes ago
I sure hope this information is too late. However, I’ve never heard of that power issue, but to me it sounds like an issue with the motherboard. I would update the firmware then if that doesn’t resolve it call the manufacturer’s support line.
i love that julia was like yall haven't had a true fudgy brownie bc those are Bad instead of maybe just like, thinking that what she thinks of as a true fudgy brownie is a bad fudgy brownie is 😂😭 also u can bake box mix brownies to either fudgy or cakey stage, just depends on a) what box mix specifically and b) if u pull it out at the shorter or longer end of the cooking range
Corndog commentary: do we have cornbread in the UK? I have never had cornbread. Today in town there was a food market and one of the stalls offered 'Sausage Lollipops'.
my mum is American so I've had cornbread a few times. It's sort of like eating scones except it's made with cornmeal and it has a slightly stronger buttery flavour, and it's yellow. It sort of looks like sponge cake, but it's a bit denser and the flavour is more neutral rather than overtly sweet or savoury (depending on any added ingredients like cheese, onion etc.) I've never had a "corndog" though, unless it's the exact same thing as a dagwood dog/pluto pup, but I don't think the ones I've had used cornbread for the batter
We don't have it here, but I tried it once as a kid at an American transfer student's birthday party, along with pecan pie, and they were both incredibly tasty. I should really try making some myself one of these days.
LMFAO, the whole brownie conversation was SO funny to me -- I've had this same conversation multiple times. I knew exactly what Julia meant the first time and it was so funny to watch the back and forth. (For the record, I like both cakey and fudgey brownies, with a slight preference for cakey but if you give me ANY brownie I will be delighted to have a brownie)
Wait, wait, wait. You're telling me the Treasury connects to the Square Room (Bottle-Gate Adjacent)???? I've been using my math/science/topology code to map this game, and I've completely missed a giant connection. Dang. I didn't have to use the Teleporter D to go back to Teleporter C and work back through everything to get to that point????
I love watching you guys, but I was yelling at my computer that you gotta stop worrying about being right and just start guessing by the end. From what I've learned, deciphering an unkown language is a lot of guess-and-check and get more info to make better guesses.

this says more about me than anyone else, but Jacob's 'fit today is reminding me of Blurryface era Twenty-One Pilots. I dig it. also this game is very fun to watch them play
unfortunately i also thought a similar thing 😭
56:15 Fudgy. If you're going to make a cakey brownie, why not just make cake?
This comment enraged me. Fudgy is too dense!! If you wanted a fudgy brownie why not just make fudge!
@@derekhasabrainbecause a fudgy brownie is not fudge. a cakey brownie IS cake.
right?! like, fudge does not have the same texture as a fudgy brownie. it's like creepy vs wet. fudge is creepy, fudgy brownie is wet.
unless we're talking hot fudge, which is entirely different from solid fudge. obviously as a sauce, it is wet.
also also, the difference between cakey brownies and just cake is more of a spectrum and the main defining feature is whether you frost it or not.
australian here! i'm p sure that corndogs over here are called dagwood dogs/pluto pups depending on which state ur from
Yup. Kinda disappointed to find out it's just a Dagwood Dog. I always imagined a corndog would have more corn in it... like a Chiko Roll.
Also, if you think a Corndog is all that, you should try a Battered Sav.
I've never heard of a Dagwood dog or Pluto pup before!! Melbourne native, never even seen them being sold but I'll look for it
Just as someone who watches every vod (but I’m a lurkers lurker, because I live in an opposite time schedule/life zone). Big thanks to Khaz!!!!! And Jacob/Julia drawfee!!!!! For helping this autistic get through life without constant stimming 🖤🖤🖤🖤
jacob: “two friends”
julia; hm
unpopular opinion: all brownies are good. cake or fudge i like chocolate lol
Yeah I can't imagine eating a brownie and being like, "that was awful." It's a bunch of tasty chocolate
look it doesn't matter but to me cakey->fudgy is a spectrum and I prefer more fudgy over more cakey. and those box brownies are probably actually a p good balance between the two to me
If you eat cakey brownies, you might as well eat dry ass chocolate cake.. Unless it's so fudgy, it falls apart when you try to pick it up or so chewy it sticks to the inside of your mouth, why are you even eating brownies..
omg the bard section is genuinely way harder all of a sudden.
I’ve researched it. There are chewy, cakey, and fudgey brownies. It’s something about the eggs. I think I’ve had good fudgey ones but cakey is usually where you can’t miss
Had a lot of fun puzzin' it out with y'all on this one
40:32 I forgot wth this line is from, but that scene always lives rent-free in my head. It's so goddamn funny, and now Jacob has unearthed it once again.
Kung Pow: Enter The Fist

I WAS WAITING FOR THIS ONE 💯💯💯
I'm so in love with this game, I really hope they keep playing it
Can we all please appreciate the good glasses joke at the top? Glasses peeps get it!
All this fudgey cakey brownie talk and I'm sitting here finding for some brookies, cookie brownies!
much excite to see you continue this! I bought/played/'beat' the game so I could finish the first vid. Curious to see your experience cause it felt like I missed stuff in each area but still chugged on.
my favorite part was going to look at the bard concert in the fortress. i’m glad they got their music
After finishing the garden level, I want to start a revolution in the tower.

... Brownies. Those are brownies. Normal-ass-brownies.
You like chocolate cake, and you dislike brownies.
Today i had a bunch of conferences about a bunch of different brand new science, I'm ready to learn
me yelling at the screen during the last section THE J MEANS PERSON
they keep making really insightful observations on morphology and then completely throw them out the window and I'm *dying*
I paused the to leave a review on the game, and it already has "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews on steam.
edit, they said it had overwhelmingly positive reviews very shortly after I resumed the video.
One minute into the stream and I gotta say... strong start.
@Draz i'm PRETTY sure that a corndog is just what we call a dagwood dog or pluto pup, etc.
So excited to watch this!
I also bought this game from the first vod. its fun
I know Jacob said it doesn't matter as long as he knows the right answer but it's killing me watching them not write down their guesses and therefore not remember that time they said the right answer ten minutes ago
damn, I really want brownies now.
There is a game like this in French. It's called 'going to France'.
You get enough guys in the same silly outfit marching and they'll always look cool. It's just somehow hardwired into the human brain
I also get the continue baldurs gate dialogue but while playing with my partner on LAN, was starting to think it was just us haha
Oh I have been WAITING for this one!
1:01:34 literally eating a corn dog rn let's gooooo
I love a dense fudgey brownie. I want to take a bite like I'm doing dental impressions for a new retainer.
im so so happy this was uploaded today 💕💕💕💕
I get that their opinions on brownies was so controversial and divisive... but what's on Jacob's head?
1:40:20 I can only imagine how wild chat was here 🤭
Fudgy brownies are the best 😂😂 the two pictures of brownies do look different though I understood that lol
I sure hope this information is too late. However, I’ve never heard of that power issue, but to me it sounds like an issue with the motherboard. I would update the firmware then if that doesn’t resolve it call the manufacturer’s support line.
ive been watching the vods for like two years now
am i a vod boomer?
i love that julia was like yall haven't had a true fudgy brownie bc those are Bad instead of maybe just like, thinking that what she thinks of as a true fudgy brownie is a bad fudgy brownie is 😂😭
also u can bake box mix brownies to either fudgy or cakey stage, just depends on a) what box mix specifically and b) if u pull it out at the shorter or longer end of the cooking range
Julia no I love that kind of brownie it's my fave haha
Fudgey brownie, but only a single slice.
I didn't think Jacob and Julia's food opinions would get me this fucked up, but here we are. Good Lord!
I never new I disagreed so hard with Julia on brownies. Fudge brownies are supreme, cake brownies are just worse.
It sort of looks like sponge cake, but it's a bit denser and the flavour is more neutral rather than overtly sweet or savoury (depending on any added ingredients like cheese, onion etc.)
I've never had a "corndog" though, unless it's the exact same thing as a dagwood dog/pluto pup, but I don't think the ones I've had used cornbread for the batter
We don't have it here, but I tried it once as a kid at an American transfer student's birthday party, along with pecan pie, and they were both incredibly tasty. I should really try making some myself one of these days.
I have had it here once, but that was in a place in Nottingham that was specifically a US style grill place
I’m so invested in this game but I have no way of playing it I really really hope they finish it
LMFAO, the whole brownie conversation was SO funny to me -- I've had this same conversation multiple times.
