    I love my CT200h F Sport! I owned a V8 Mustang and an Audi turbo, but I think my Lexus it’s the best car I’ve ever driven.

    At 22 years old, I have owned a 2016 CT200h for the last 3 years. I bought it used in 2018. Before that, I was driving my parent's older 2008 IS250. The CT200h took some time to get used to, but eventually I found it to be better than the IS250. I've driven my aunt's 2013 Prius and the CT200h is a big leap forward. After 3 years, I'm really happy with this car and here are my pros and cons about it.
    The seats are super comfortable! On long drives, I could sit maybe 3 or 4 hours before feeling a need to stretch my body. The rest of the interior is decent. All the buttons are simply laid out and easy to use while driving. Ride quality is nice except for a bit of road noise depending on the surface. Cargo space is decent and the rear seats aren't too bad either. I have yet to reach 59 MPG but I have hit 48 MPG before. The handling is amazing. I can put it in sport mode on a windy mountain road and it still handles perfectly. Even when cornering at higher than normal speeds, the rear doesn't feel like it's going to fishtail and the car stays perfectly centered. My favorite thing about this car is the reliability. I got mine used with 24K miles and I have driven it up to 67,500. Other than routine oil changes and inspections, my only major maintenance job was replacing the brakes for the first time at 60K miles.
    The engine could use a bit more power. I understand that the CT is designed for efficiency, but living in San Francisco, sometimes I need just a bit more power accelerating uphill. I would definitely trade a few more HP for a few less MPG. My biggest pet peeve is the infotainment system. Firstly, the nav database update costs about $200. There's no apple carplay, it would have to be aftermarket install. It's not touchscreen so everything is selected through a small mouse cursor on the center console, which is hard to use sometimes. Also an AWD version would have been nice. This car handles great, but I would feel more confident taking this car everywhere if it had AWD instead of FWD.

    Watched the review. Went out and bout one. I've had it for 2 months and I'm averaging 63mpg on a 50 mile commute. The car is incredibly comfortable and more responsive than I first thought when you put your foot down. I wondered at first whether I'd made the right choice but I'm actually starting to love the little blighter. Take one for a test drive, it'll probably surprise you.

      Hey I’m thinking of purchasing this car, but I’m worried about maintenance cost. Has it given you any problems other than regular oil/brake change.

    • @tlf361
      @tlf361 4 года назад +6

      @@gustavoespinosa7970 Buddy, this is literally one of the most reliable cars of all time... People literally buy this, to avoid having to spend $$$ on upkeep and repairs. Even brake changes are much less frequent, thanks to regenerative braking. Only downside is, oil changes are a bit expensive at the dealer (it IS a Lexus after all), but you could easily do them yourself, or go to any place that would service a Toyota.

However, people love it when they see it and it's actually helped with tips. People seem to tip more when I drive the Lexus. (I did uber in my Subaru before). Also lexus warranty is really good and they included the first handful of services. So it makes sense for uber, as cost of ownership is actually quite low.
