Good that someone came out and said it publicly without any bias towards its politics. It's well known that to get a proper combatant in any force it takes about 5 to 6 years of training and experience and if you discharge 75 % of the intake after 4 years it will be a liability for the force that we have already forseen this and I was against it's implementation as a citizen and a veteran. Still hoped the people sitting at the policy level would have thought about the pros and cons of the scheme and advised the government. Now it is proved that everything can't be measured in terms of it's economics alone.

Opposition is doing the right thing, defence and national security policy needs to be released from the whims and fancies of two individuals in the government. If you don't allow wider stakeholder engagement and avenues for objective reviews, then you should be facing the full force of opposition!
