Reigen's Self Defense Rush is my pick for the funniest moment in the entire series.
After the epic entrance they gave mob, the way reigen just casually strolls up next to him is so funny.
The best offense is Self Defense
Every time I thought they couldn't make me love Reigen more they manage to one-up themselves.
I always preferred the hypnosis punch, but it's a close call for me
I aint gonna lie, the anti possesion knee strike is superior
Remember if ever got a fight, dont forget to yell self-defense rush to make it justified
It helps to come from their blind spot too. Hide yo energy
Remember, if you ever need to flash someone…
I think that “IM INNOCENT” works too
"Everyone here is an esper, ignore everything but them"
Famous last words lol
"And I'm like, aw fuck yeah this is going to be great. And the shows like no. This is gonna be greater".
- Eric 15:39
I think I'm gonna save this quote for the rest of my life, thank u Eric
Such a great line.
The show deliberately likes to subvert your expectations likes Sho visiting mob's home, I thought it would be tsubomi.
this should be the title of the video
i keep coming back to this moment in this video, so amazing
Ngl, the moment where Mob is talking to the Claw lackies and you hear his percentage counter go up *without* seeing it on screen? That's what fear is made of.
The most impressive thing about the fight scene this episode isn't the animation but rather the choreography of the fight as well as the use of perspective. It's planned in such a great detail that you get a very good feel of the space that the fight takes place in as well as everyone's view on it.
Theoretically you could even draw up every movement on a map if you wanted.
I agree, and it wasn't too chaotic that you're like confused as to what's happening on the screen
That's the crazy thing. A lot of high-power fights with flashy and great animation is REALLY hard to see what the hell is actually going on (Karna vs Sieg for example) so it feels cool but it's not easy to say what the hell is actually going on.
This episode is a masterclass on how to have a cool and flashy fight that an audience can follow without much difficulty.
Best teleporter fight ever
You said it best
And the great/clever use of the teleportation power. I like how they didn’t just leave it as “oh yeah they have teleportation”, but made it a major part of the fight.
It’s actually pretty great how Teru figures it out. Every time we see Shimazaki use his teleportation he always teleports out of his targets line of sight. So it’s pretty natural that a fighter as adaptable and clever as Teru would realize that all you have to do to beat him is prepare for an attack (either by attacking first or blocking) that is coming from basically directly behind you anytime you lose sight him.
That's....holy crap. I went back and rewatched those scenes and it's true! Teru is freaking awesome! He figured that out pretty damn quick!
@@mangaanimefan3089 Teru is probably the best fighter we see in both seasons. Lots of characters are able to overpower him due to the sheer difference in psychic power but in terms of actual technique, Teru is easily the best.
Kiara Animefan Another potential interpretation is that given his penchant for using enemy techniques, he could also be starting to use Shimazaki’s ability to see the future.
I’m with Eric. The last few episodes of S2 Mob are top tier anime, and some of the best I’ve seen in years. Funny, emotional, visceral.
Hayate Yukimura the whole anime is top tier
It's how it's framed, because it's crazy shonen but it's put in perspective by the tamer slice of life moments. One of the best things is that this show keeps itself on a leash.
@@blackmanwhitesuit Last episode was a let down tho. It was rushed unfortunately
@@that8968 Was it rushed? It seemed like it lined up with the manga pretty ok.
@@blackmanwhitesuit The way he took down the headmaster was extremely rushed. Especially when he out of no where agreed with mob to change his ways in like a 15 second conversation they had at the end of their fight.
This is the best teleportation use in any anime ever as far as I'm aware, it feels like he truly naturally uses teleportation to its most potent. He uses it in so many interesting ways and the animation losing him gives a sense of how it would feel fighting a teleporter which no other teleporting entity in anime, no, in any media has so far been able to do, none that I know of anyway.
Naruto does a pretty good job as well with the 4th Hokage, however between the two shows Mob Psycho may have done the better job, tbh at this point I can’t really decide between the two.
Everyone mentions the fight animation in this episode (and rightly so) but for me the best part is seeing how much Mob has grown. His relationship with Mogami, and the experiences he had in Mogami's dream world, have made him just hardened enough without compromising his core values.
This gonna be more clear in the next episodes. I felt proud of Mobs evolution
Hehehehe
I think the best part of this show is that Mob never is hardened. It's funny how when the Shonen crazy kicks off everyone marvels the show. I think in isolation, the action is great, but it's everything together that makes me appreciate this show.
Reigen's random attack moves are always comedy gold. 😂
Perfect timing, always unexpected/ random, he does it with no fear, all which makes it that funnier & great!
Dimple still trying to take over Kageyama's body is what it would be like if Chucky and Andy became friends lol
Ryo vs everyone is my favorite fight of the show and one of my top animated fights. Seeing teleportation from his perspective, so nice! 🙌🏾
In the manga it was called the "Justifiable self defense rush"
Yup... this show is something special.
Every one is a piece of artwork made by individuals who love what they do.
Agreed. You can really tell that the artists/ director(s)/ writers love & genuinely have fun with their job.
Oh hi there Mighty! I loved your MP100 reactions too, you really felt every episode :D
Oh hey I loved all your reactions! Cool to see you here.
Why thanks, you guys! Lol
Blindwave rocks
Best use and presentation of teleportation ability I've seen in a while.
Bones made Mob Psycho 100 and My Hero Academia but didn't make One Punch Man, Madhouse made One Punch Man (they also made Hunter x Hunter)
Bones also made fma:b which they watched
madhouse made one punch man, but most of the people who worked on season one animation were freelancers that work with bones.
yeah lmao whut are they talking about
Gainex and production i.g. Wasnt just bones that made mob they all deserve praise
@@vukede1207 yeah, most of the key animators on OPM came from BONES. Basically all the big cuts are done by BONES people
You know how you watch a really fking great season 1 of an anime, and they announce season 2 after, you have huge expectations for it and mob psycho manages to go even beyond that, amazing show all around.
Also, Bones made MHA not OPM.
OPM S1 was Madhouse but freelance animators from Bones were involved, So OPM S1 is essentially Madhouse and Bones.
The credit goes to the lead animator who's been involved with all the stuff you love, the studio just hired him but he could be working with whatever studio he wants.
Most of the Sakuga / dynamic motion in OPM S1 (which is a lot) was mostly done by freelancers & not Madhouse itself & people tend to forget that. If anything, OPM S1 was a passion project by Director Shingo Natsume & freelancer friends featuring Madhouse. Also those freelancers were mostly from Studio Bones, so in a way, OPM S1 is, in part, a Bones project, albeit, an unofficial one. It's also one of the reasons why JC Staff is the studio that made OPM S2 because they just couldn't get the people who worked on S1 back together.
1:36 Broccoli...foreshadowing
This was my highlight of the season too, also the fire scene.
Mob Psycho is. just. great.
We all know that the only one who can defeat the teleporter is Reigen
Shimazaki is really an interesting, and an awesome character, hope he turns over a new leaf, and returns in Mob Psycho 100 Season 3, if there's ever gping to be one!...
Funny enough, we do get to see what the other 4 espers are up to* except for Shimazaki. He shat his pants and never came back lmaooo
edit: *this info is from the manga. ^^
When you have so much budget you fully animate a scene where a character is running up stairs. This episode was ridiculous.
Even though he only has a few minutes of screen time in the entire series, Shimazaki definitely solidified himself as one of my favorite anime characters of all time.
I really don't understand why people love him so much. Because at the end he proved that he's just a coward who gets scared of a middle school kid xD I get he has cool powers but seriously - what's more here?
Lydia Hanger its how he uses his powers. Many anime had teleporters but shimazaki is one of those few characters who brilliantly uses his powers to its full potential .
@@realswobby That middle school kid being mob. Who's presence was unlike anything hes ever seen. Its really kind of self explanatory if you pay attention to the show, I even think shimizaki could body shu's dad. And the dub doesnt do these characters justice, but when I first saw this, he was the coldest character in the show. Swag + his demeanor, I dont see how anyone would not like him lol. Plus I'm sure he was more afraid of the idea of how powerful Reagan could be, not so much mob alone. Mob did flex on him tho I'll give you that lol, but hes the MC, that's supposed to happen.
And how does being afraid of mob make him a coward? Every esper in this show has been afraid of mob at one point.
@@johnbernal7996 you tell him man
Mob Psycho Season 2 Episode 13 has the quote that cured my depression (I am the.......) . I'm glad you are reacting to this show.
I don't remember that quote...what was it again?
@@literallyaspider1508 its "I''m the protagonist of my own life."
I’m waiting for their reaction to mobs „body improvement, fight on!“ one of my favorite moments in anime
@@animusswtor4822 mob yelling that line got the best of me 😭 FIGHT ON
2:17 Did Eric say "Come on, Naruto"?
Teru " they are people on this world who's powers you cant even fathom"
Reigen " hold my beer"
I love angry mob so much and Reigen's self-defense rush was the hardest I've laughed in Mob Psycho so far.
everyone but my boy shane always looking towards eric lmao
When fighting someone with foresight, the only option is overwhelming random activity. They always have a glass ceiling of seeing the possiblities, you just have to shatter it. Normally takes team effort unless your Deadpool...he so crazy no one knows what he's gonna do.
On Studio Bones in 13:18, Madhouse did One Punch Man S1, while Studio Bones did One Punch Man, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, and yes, Mob Psycho 100.
Quality-wise, Madhouse has been in a slump lately, while Bones has maintained their quality.
This episode is what we call an Eye-gasm, not that other parts of Mob Psycho hasn't been one.
*"SELF-DEFENSE RUUUUUSSHHH!!!"*
This is definitely an episode that I've been waiting for Blind Wave to react to!!! It's just such a non stop action packed episode, that I really love alot!!! It involves everyone we've mostly focused on pretty much playing a role in this episode, and it's done so well. Whether it's Hanazawa and the former Scar members (as well as Ritsu) trying to fight Shimazaki and take him down once and for all. Or Shigeo fighting against all the claw members downtown, (as well as Minegishi) not holding back at all against them, showing how much Mob has really grown during this season. Mob seems to be pretty much trapped, due to all of them attacking him at once. But then as the Mist appears, a whole variety of monsters do as well. Revealing them to all be from Matsuo trying to help out Kagaeyama. Unfortunately it's short-lived, since Minegishi ends up defeating all of them with his plants. As well as Matsuo, though there appeared to have been one bottle, with a spirit inside left over. Despite Matsuo's warnings a claw member brags about how good they've got it with Minegishi on their side, and breaks it. As everyone drops like flies, it reveals to have encased an all too familiar foe. Keiji Mogami, he then proceeds to use all of Minegishi's powers and turns them into his own. He fully intends to kill him off, but Mob of course says he should give him a chance, and that trust in other people is what is needed to continue on. Mogami then proceeds to leave for good (presumably) but leaves Shigeo with a good bit of advice, about being tough on other people. Meanwhile Sho is having a less than successful encounter with his father. If anything he seems to have underestimated him, and is getting thrown like it's nothing. Sho of course thinks he's got him after he uses a huge amount of energy he had stored up for months, only for it to not even work *(..especially since Serizawa interfered by blocking the energy blast from him.)* Toichiro reveals that he's been around the world, seeing if there were any espers as powerful as him, he of course found nobody that could oppose him. *He even reveals that he's been storing up energy as well...for the last 20 years.* It seems that back with Teru and his team, that Shimizaki is seemingly unstoppable no matter what they do. Though with Sakurai's help, Teru finally comes to a conclusion. He learns that if he can't detect an attack in advance, he can't stop it, thus making him cornered. Shimazaki then proceeds to Teleport Hanazawa around and toss him throw windows, buildings, cars and through the air. As Shimazaki is about to deliver a final blow Teru then predicts his next move, and the one following it. Saying that as helpful as learning other's moves is, it makes his own really simplistic!! Then everyone pretty much beats up and flings him around, due to how vulnerable Shimazaki really is. Though as it seems like they're gonna win this time Shimazaki reveals his next technique... *Mind's Eye!* Which pretty much makes him stronger against anyone with Psychic powers. As it seems everyone has lost, A familiar middle schooler with a bowl cut comes walking in. That of course being Mob, Shimazaki then says that he'll face him head on. *Though Reigen walks into the scene and uses one of his strongest moves that he has, and defeats Shimazaki just like that.* Shimizaki misunderstands the situation and sees Reigen as an esper who can make his whole presence disappear, and has a whole organization with people as strong as the power he assumes he has. Shimazaki shortly gives up afterwards and teleports away for good this time. Mob then decides he'll take on the head of Claw by himself, since as he learned before, he needs to be tough on others. Dimple tags along and the two of them are on their way.
I absolutely love the appreciation these guys have for the show now, whether it be Eric saying that the show keeps getting awesomer every episode. Or Aaron's opinion on Reigen changing from him thinking that he's some awful guy scamming this middle schooler. To thinking, that he's such a cool guy!! I also love how you can tell how engrossed in the episode all of them were, they were like legit on the edge of their seats, practically the whole time!! Such great development! Can't wait to see the next reaction to *This* paticular episode!!! ;)
*"I LOVE REIGEEEN!!!"* Same Calvin, Same!!!
Lets not forget the fact that Reigen down Shimazaki in one move when it took a bunch of espers to even touch him
Love this series so much amazing animation.
Dude Mob Psycho jumps to number one anime for so many people (including me) I think that this is a classic in the making
Mob is AOTY for me.
Should be for everyone
Probably
It's GOAT for me, and it's not even over yet
For sure. I hope it wins /: I’m sure when season 2 finished it ranked 13 on MAL so it should technically be AOTY
Mob and Demon slayer are AOTY tbh
Teru is under rated. I like the touch when he first fights the teleporter, the first move teru uses is “telekinetic explosion” which is the move teru’s ambusher uses for the surprise attack
1:37 the broccoli foreshadowing 🥦😂😂
Good use of teleport looks a like film jumper
Not a very good movie but the teleportation looks awesome there, indeed
So excited for you too see this, but also really not ready for this series to be over
Is it just me who thinks Reigen actually has like some kind of psychic abilities that allow him to hide his presence...lol
He's so fucking cool I want him to have psychic powers too
Reigen just waited for the perfect moment to finish Shimazaki off
How about haikyuu! Next? Volleyball show with amazing story n animations, y'all gonna love it I'm promise
@@mobinm.mohanan eng dub isn't that bad. It's fine for others RUclipsr too.
Mobin Mohanan I really want them to react to steins gate one day, it’s so good
@@mobinm.mohanan attak on titan dub is horrible to and they watch it
@@furer2012 AoT's dub is like FMAB's dub compared to Haikyuu's dub. The castings for Haikyuu was very unfit, most of them sound like whiny children when they try to act out the emotional dialogues. And dubbing also portrayed the characters VERY wrongly. Tanaka who respects the captain (Daichi) was saying things like "what are you gonna do about it huh? That's what I thought." Like omg that is SO wrong. Blindwave should do Steins gate, as the dub is quite good.
I want them to react this show soo much but instead we talking about voice actor (l!I^▽^ )ゞ c'mon guys let them try it
Please do Naoki Urasawa's "Monster" next. It's criminally underrated.
Yes ! I hope so too !!
that would be amazing !!!
I would love to see that but I'm afraid they could get bored of it.
I watched it a few episode and it is on hold for quite some time now. It's good but the pacing is killing me. Maybe it's not good for binging.
@@ttuah yea the only problem i had watching was the slow pacing time to time but I suggest u keep watching if u want to see some of the best writing
I love the contrast in thumbnails, in this one they look like they're cheering with excitement then right above this on "the boys" reaction they look absolutely horrified. Knowing what both these episodes are those really are the only reactions to have
Cant wait for the next 2 episodes if they loved this the next 2 will blow their minds
Can't wait for the Final Light xD
Shimazaki fight is better than any MHA fight, in terms of animation/direction
The word you're looking for is fight choreography
That is literally an undisputed fact. Everyone thinks that
Unnecessary comparison. Sounds petty honestly
@@jarlbalgruuf2415 it is unnecessary, but not petty.
Yeah obviously, that doesn’t make MHA any less enjoyable though
Love that they gave Greed’s voice to Shimazuki
It's not the same voice actor
I'm glad you guys paid attention to the broccoli XD
Probably the coolest fight animation I've ever seen, Mob Psycho is amazing! I really hope you guys bring season 3!
Oh I love this! It just gets better from here! Hard to believe I know but it does!!! Oh I can't wait to they get to react to them!
“On the level of My Hero...” My Hero WISHES.
They're from the same studio
how much animation budget should we put in this episode?
studio bones: yes....

“This is the best episode ever!”
I’ve been waiting so long for this
lol at 1:36 "Do you think there'll actually be broccoli in this show?" XD
Yes lets go i was waiting LOL i always love Self-Defense Rush move XD. And the fight scenes in this ep always love them.
Time to start the campaign.
As we near the end of mob psycho we inch ever closer to a new anime/animation poll and I firmly believe there is no better choice than steins gate an amazing series with so much opportunity for great discussion from the amazing blind wave crew it's a funny series with interesting and deep characters with an damn good story believe me when I say it a vote for steins gate is a vote for greatness.
Thank you ladies and gentlemen I hope to see you out and in droves during the new polling season remember your vote matters as it will decided the future of blind wave content. GOD BLESS THE BLIND WAVE CREW BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY GOD BLESS THE BLIND WAVE COMMUNITY.
Please comment below if I have your vote
GOD BLESS YOU
Steins gate is my favorite show , I hope they react to it.
I feel like It’s so highly rated and popular in the anime community but is extremely under watched in the reaction community. It usually gets destroyed in polls by shounen cuz that’s what new weebs usually watch. And since they had the poll that decided what shows go on the poll earlier this year, demon slayer won’t be on it. It probably would win since people are hyping the shit out of it and that’s how polls usually go with new anime
I've been wanting them to react to it for so long
What a great fucking episode

Actually some of the crew of bones are former madhouse employees, they are really talented people.
Great episode
this is my favorite episode of mob by far
this is soooo good
I love this anime, is favorite of ALL my life.
Love you guys
Hope Steins;Gate will be next and after that Demon Slayer. ^^
I think the poll is going to be this week. I don’t see how steins gate loses unless JoJo is on it cuz that has been getting crazy popular
Dunno but they definitely should watch no game no life zero

I expected the holy spirit to come and breath on shimazaki to death before Reigen
Wait wait wait! I'm not ready!! . . . Okay!! I'm ready! Let's do this!
This has been an amazing series to follow with you guys. I'm hoping for Erased for something nice and short or Haikyuu for somethin longer.
Will new episode be out today ?
Reigan: SELF DEFENSE RUSH
Saitama: Consecutive Normal Punches
I liked how he uses self defense because he got in trouble before.
9:54: this man became Hit and used TimeSkip/Molotov
It's super effective
You guys should react to Nicole vs Yuki in The Amazing World of Gumball... They sourced out the anime fight to Studio 4°C and it is an awesome homage to anime fights.
The time where 3 of the strongest ESPer were in the same place, unfortunately they didn't meet at the same time.
Just a little correction, One Punch Man was made from Madhouse (officially), but some dude from Bones and some dude that worked one Mob did work on OPM, Yutaka Nakamura or Yochimichi Kameda as an example. But there is so many talented people coming from all over the place that we can't really consider it as Madhouse or neither Bones. It's a Big Animator crossover lol.
I hate how regan just walked up to him like whatever and just puch him 100 times lmao he is such a troll lol so funny
That shimazaki fight is more like "Garou vs A class heroes" from OPM S2
FINALLY SOMEONE
YES ERIC SING THE ANTHEM
No Mob episode today?
Studio Bones does not do OPM. That used to be Madhouse (season 1). MH also does My Hero, that's the reason they had to drop OPMs2
Names are secondary to actions, so your all good Rick.
This episode's animation really reminden me of kill la kill, I would lo if them would react to it.
