That's the beauty of nature; everywhere and in everything it testifies to the Divinity of God and His power and goodness. (Psalm 19:1-4) It was von Goethe who said, " The closer we are to nature, the closer we are to God." Or as Seneca, a Roman philosopher, put it, "What else is nature but God." And John Muir, who walked in the same area where you are said, "Every natural object is a conductor of Divinity." ---Indeed, even a stick cross!
Laura and I met you on the trail. It was brief but we love following you. We also got to spend some quality time with Dave and Janet. A great couple. We had to leave the trail as I got a really bad reaction to poison ivy and now am on steroids to clear it up. You are inspiring Audrey! Keep it up❤

Hey North Star... You have "ruined" your mama! Just look at her. Thirty-one miles in and she's not yet had a meltdown, breakdown, hissy fit or temper tantrum. And she hasn't gone all haywire or all to pieces either. Good grief, she doesn't even complain about how hard the trail is. By 31 miles you'd expect she'd be kicking trees or throwing rocks or something. But no! She just keeps pushing forward in true grit fashion while enjoying and embracing the hiker-trash lifestyle. You've "ruined" your mama. Yes siree, Bob, she's caught the thru-hiker fever from you for sure. I'll bet she's already planning her Mount Everest expedition. You have "ruined" your mama!
