Don't let mom leave! She is just starting to get the hang of it!!! Besides that you guys make a wonderful team!!! Best of luck to your mom!!!🥰👍👏🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Your mom is better than a good sport - she's done well and sorry to see her return to Missouri. You really had me chuckling at the 8 minute mark with that slo-mo and your bass voice. "We do not remember days - we remember moments."(Cesare Pavese). Be well, stay safe. 🥾
Hey North Star...What a relief, what a joy, what a blessing and inspiration it is to turn from the news of a world double distilled and overflowing with hate, rage, violence and unrestrained crime and turn to this channel where an escape in the wholesome form of a mother and daughter hiking together can be found. As you and your mom shared together the rigors of the trail, its victories and defeats, its lessons and hardships, its joys and pains, we have seen in her some of the same traits we saw in you on the AT. Traits like persistence, endurance, and a love of nature, and in just a short time, she won our respect and admiration just as you have done. It doesn't matter if she hiked 40 miles or 400 miles. What matters is that you did it together, bonding and sharing, while experiencing a common goal of togetherness in nature. In a way, your mom will always be with you on trail, in the form of what she instilled in you over the years. While a child is not a clone of a parent, traits of a parent live on in each of us. When the way becomes hard and unyielding, when discouragement becomes a bedfellow, when you find some nuance of nature that she would have stopped to notice, she will still be there with you in spirit. And those precious memories will be with you forever. I suspect in years to come, when you both sit down to watch and relive these videos of 40 miles and 4 days, that you will turn to each other with moist eyes and realize---- you've been smiling the whole time. Your mom has been as inspiration to us. We shall miss her.
Hey North Star... Look at all these comments. Everybody wants to see your mom come back. She's become a RUclips sensation. When we look at her, we see some of you, and when we look at you, we see some of her. You two were a joy to watch. Cast my vote to bring Mom back. And you both are 3rd-grade teachers. Wow.
I love watching you and your mom on trail together! It's so wonderful to be able to document your hike together! And how sweet was it for your grandma to be on a call during your hike! Do you feel the CT is easier, harder, or similar as the AT?
Big kudos to your mom. It sounds like this was outside her comfort zone, and she took it on. I will be doing my first ever backpacking trip later this summer and it will be on the CT, Silverton to Durango, so I will following your vlog . Good hiking to you!!

@Lv4_o2... I think all 5.8K North Star subscribers would say a hearty Amen to that.
What a great time to spend with your mom. Thank you both for being teachers, it takes a special people to do what you both do.
Coffee. Town food. 40 miles. That creek is relaxing. Dirt miles and big smiles. Cheers to your mom. Awesome job.
You needed to find a "Little Audrey" t shirt in the loaner clothes. Nice video. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick
Hate to see Mama North Star go. Such a wonderful experience for you both! Can't wait to see the rest of your hike. Happy trekking! 🥾
Your mom did great. Hiking the high elevation is tough on us older people, especially coming from a low altitude.
Your mom did great, Great video.
Once your Mom gets home she is going to miss the trail ❤
Go Cards 7-3-24. They lost in 10 innings. 5-4 to the Pirates.
What a wonderful memory hiking with your mom. I miss my mom so much. Your mom is a real trooper. Well done. ☮️
