I got some blinds installed literally yesterday and this morning I went to open them and the chain broke. I'm not qualified to fix them, but a repair team is coming in a week or two and I want to make sure they do a good job so it doesn't break in under 24 hours again. Is there anything I can do to make sure they actually fix the problem?
Hi DoubtlessCar0, Apologies we haven't replied sooner. Such a shame your chain broke within 24hrs! We would suggest asking your supplier if they are using the best quality chain drives possible, and checking they have installed the blinds correctly so that there is no undue stress on the mechanism. We recommend spring assists for blinds wider than 1800mm too, as these help move the blind up and down easily with less stress on the chain drive. If you would like to discuss options with one of our team, please give us a call on 1300 664 257 - they may be able to provide additional advice. Thanks, ~iSeekBlinds
