This video popped up randomly on my feed and I watched because I also did the half which was my first ever. I finished in 2.09.33 which I was very happy with. It boggles my mind that you kept that pace all the way through, amazing job 😊
Oddly popped up in my YT feed as I've booked on the Man Half for 2024. Not my first but hoping to hit sub 1:45, which is a stretch for an old boy like me. Best of luck and remember to enjoyed it and don't worry about the time.
Sprinted when I saw the Puma arch, passed about 10 people. Saw there was another 200m to go, had to jog to avoid being sick. The 10 people overtook me. A humbling experience. 😂
Good Job , I came in 8 minutes later (and while I did not get fooled by the false finish thing , as it was finished at the same point as the MCR marathon, it was a pain in the arse ) and yes the last mile did feel a little long.
That was an impressive performance and a great video too, I’m doing the Manchester Half in a week’s time and I’m apprehensive but looking forward to it, I’ve had PF for months so I’ve had to cut back my mileage so I’ll be happy with a finish tbh😊I usually film races with my iPhone but maybe not so I can concentrate on the run. I was at the Half last year as a spectator, had to pull out due to Covid the week before😢I’ve subscribed, love finding new channels😀
Nice channel this. Enjoying going through some of your back catalogue and have subscribed. Like the way you talked through the race mile by mile. Did you have an Insta 360 on your cap?
What an awesome finish and nicely done pacing it. As I was watching I was thinking you were going to crash -- it just felt like you were leading up to it in your narrative. I love when the magic happens in a half marathon and with about 5KM to go one is able to work with someone else and fly through those last miles. And yeah, I'd be kind of upset if I sprinted like you did to get to the fake finish. I've had that happen a time or two and it is humiliating and there is absolutely nothing left in the tank after doing that. Congrats on an epic time and I love the way the video came together.
@@CrownMyRun I'll be there too. I live in Salt lake, about 5 hours north. It's a big race and the start can be congested. Just be sure you are hydrated as well and don't over indulge in food and adult beverages. I am a legacy runner there...

I ran a 1h 24.08 and did the exact same as you thinking the inflatable tunnel was the finish line 🤣🤣
Well done mate! Hopefully not a PB so missing out on a Sub 1hr 24 doesn't hurt as much aha?!
You wasn't the only one that fell for the Puma "finish" line!!!
Me too. Annoyingly I did the same last time I did it (2021) with a big blue Mizuno (I think) advert.
I am glad it wasn't just me! A learning curve - check where the finish line is next race!

Thank you! Vegas half on Sunday - hopefully I can produce something similar but not mess the finish up!!
