Dresden had no military significance. Thousands of refugees from Silesia were in the city. The number of victims of the Anglo-American bombing raids is probably much higher. Out of consideration for the new allies, the USA and Great Britain, many things are perhaps being covered up. My mother experienced the bombing raid on February 13, 1945. Florence on the Elbe, a pearl of European culture, was irretrievably destroyed. vae victis

this is a really great video man,the architecture and grandeure of old germany is absolutely breathtaking,theres alot of recent new videos showing just that,but that honestly makes videos like this all the more sad seeing what they have been replaced with. a crime.

Especially in the GDR (the Soviet-occupied zone) there was no money for reconstruction.
Many things were only rebuilt after reunification in 1990.

speaking of the carola bridge, it has partially collapsed and there are now plans to maybe rebuild it in a different style
