MKT is one of those special games where you blow up someone and you see 2 skulls, 5 legs, and a bunch of bones (or lack thereof). BTW, Rain is so powerful in destroying Shao Khan that he lit all of Outworld doing so.
Generally, I don't mind Mortal Kombat Trilogy on the N64. I understand it lacks much of the content original PS1 version did due to it being an early n64 game and cartridge storage constraints, but it still has the MK3 charm and I don't mind the compressed soundtrack, and it was also one of the fist MK games I played, alongside the 2011 reboot.
It's got that charm because it's the only version developed in-house by Midway themselves. They were part of the N64's "Dream Team" of mostly western devs, which is why it honestly feels more authentic than its disc counterparts, jank and all

How odd, i was expecting Shang Tsung to get all his Wins. Also was thinking if you change your profile pic for Shang Tsung since he is like the spotlight of the channel cuz you always hear the infamous "Shang Tsung Wins"

Oh (CRASH), how I have missed ya, and posted just minutes after the MK1 gameplay reveal, too o: The N64 version's always been finnicky about what crashes the game and doesn't. Expected a lot more crashes to happen though
It's incredible how you can perform some finishers on Shao Khan and Motaro, but my guess why that happen it's pretty much this.... they were planing to add them to the final game but since they had to reduce the memory of the game many of the content they planned to add it has to be gone... Otherwise i don't have idea why some of the finishers works on them...
The N64 cart could handle everything (Resident Evil 2), it was that Midway was lazy at this point and didn't try.. The N64 and N64 carts were more than capable..
I imagine it has to do with the code of the game your not meant to do fatalities on shao kahn so the game gets confused and probably has to figure out the best way to advance
It tries to find animations that does not exists. As you can see- best working animation are those that doesn't require special animation frames (all of Rayden fatalities works great)
I thought doing fatalities on the bosses in MK Trilogy wouldn't crash the game since they have limbs sprites in the game? Unless the n64 version you can't normally do fatalities on bosses and the ps1 and sega genesis you can do fatalities on them also amazing video! It's nice to see how ps1 and n64 can handle not crashing when it can't find a sprite.

Why do some of the fatalities have slowed down animations? (Example: when Shao Kahn gets nailed by Mileena or when Scorpion does his Toasty Fatality)

You couldn't do finishers on them on the disc versions either. You might be thinking of some modded version or a MUGEN game
