Prince was regal, elegant, but I have heard he was such a good person, as well. I was lucky enough to see him on you other Purple Rain tour. If you think he is special on screen, seeing him in person, sorry you cannot go to one, but he basically enveloped the entire arena with a feeling of love and peace. As to this performance drone was saying it's raining he can't go on, Prince basically sat screw you and this amazing show came about. One thing I really think you should check out Prince's appearance on "Sesame Street."
I moved to Minneapolis a few years ago, which is where Prince is from, and I have NEVER seen another hometown love a famous person the way that Minneapolis loves Prince. It's really something special. The way I understand it, it's because he loved Minneapolis just as much. He chose to live here instead of NY or LA, he hung out in the local bars and was very accessible for a celebrity.
NY and LA isnt the end all and be all lol not everyone wanna go to those braindead cities

You definitely should watch the whole performance, it’s okay to cry. It was definitely raining only Prince could pull this off during a downpour.

Before Prince went on, they were concerned about the weather, and the manager asked him if he would be OK. Prince said ,”Yeah, but can you make it rain harder?” There will never be another Prince.

you do need to watch the entire show. His home town & it was rainy the entire show. Ironic. The city behind lit their buildings or surrounding area purple. Perfect tribute to a great artist. Miserable day for preforming a live show

Most Super Bowl halftime performances are a lot of show and not much substance, but not this one. He was exceptionally talented as a singer/songwriter/guitarist/composer/showman/multi-instrumentalist. I got the feeling that he just did whatever he wanted to do regardless of whether it was going to be popular or not. Lost track of him after "Sign O the Times" and "Purple Rain" . This reaction reminded me that I should go back and see what I missed. Thanks.
