It was so kind and considerate of Prince to allow a football match either side of his concert. Especially as his special effects were provided by God.
This is the best half time show ever. Prince was such a badass for performing in the rain between all of the equipment on the stage. He could’ve gotten seriously hurt but that would never stop Prince from making history.

THIS. When he sings his signature song....and the marching band comes thru with those horns at the end...amazing. His whole performance also felt like validation - for all of us who already knew what some only realized that night - and that is what an extraordinary once-in-a-lifetime artist Prince was. One that we won't ever see the likes of again. That next day - the talk was ALL about Prince.

Just because it’s MJ it doesn’t mean it’s close to being the best if not the best. MJ’s live performance is not close to Prince’s in any way. Any person can predict an MJ performance no matter how talented or how many hits he had. It’s just the reality of it. MJ always did the same shit again and again.

It was dangerous playing those instruments in the rain. I did read his guitar was damaged from the rain. He had a duplicate of this guitar made.
Steve jobs unveiled the very first iphone about a month before this performance and it didn't start shipping until later that year. Definitely a different era in terms of how people go to live shows compared to today.

They are from a historically black university (FAMU) & called the Marching 100. And then after that you’ve got check out Southern University’s marching band, called the Human Jukebox. Both really good bands! 😊
