The elephant in the exposure triangle for someone coming from photography as in my case was the epiphany that you can't mess with shutter speed in film. This leaves ISO and aperture. So having more than one native ISO and lower pixel density sensor and internal ND filters can lift the game.
@@lukasvanderlende please I have no idea where to even start. I just got the DJi Osmo pocket 3 creator kit and the extra dji mic plus a full filter set.
Hi Lukas, great video! You covered some essential steps really well. I wanted to share a few reasons why I haven’t ventured more into video work with my SL2-S: 1. Without a gimbal, the footage tends to stay somewhat shaky, no matter how steady I try to be. 2. Adding a gimbal to stabilize video introduces extra gear, making setups less portable. 3. When a decisive moment happens, it’s challenging to capture both high-quality photos and videos simultaneously. 4. Post-processing videos (I use DaVinci Resolve) takes significantly more time compared to photo editing in Capture One. Thanks for the inspiration, though! Always enjoy your insights. Comments appreciated.
Glad you enjoyed the video! I’m working on a bigger video to go through the SL system and touch on all the features for video and how I use them including accessories and stabilization. I really don’t use a gimbal very much, most of my video is handheld or on a tripod because I don’t want to add more gear to my kit so I totally understand your first two points! I also completely agree about the decisive moment. I tend to shoot with either photo or video in mind as the priority so when a decisive moment happens I just grab it in whatever format im focusing on. That said I do jump back and forth a lot because I want to get as much as possible. The editing process is absolutely a different beast, but it’ll become as natural as editing photos with time and practice!
@ one question : what is or would be your favorite sl lens for video ? I’m looking into a 24-70 or 24-90 or sl 90 for photography and ideally would choose a lens that suits for video as well. (I have 28 35 50 and 90 m lenses but want to start using autofocus for car racing). Thanks
Another great video! Can’t wait for the bigger one about the SL2-S with video!
Thank you!! Excited to put it out! It’ll be a big one!
Awesome per usual 👏🏻
Thank you so much!!
