Holy shit. I was amazed at the original version, with Robben Ford's exquisite earthly blues guitar playing. I just loved it. Now this man ( who is by far, far, far the most underrated genius in pop music) put it at #2 with his sole voice and minimal piano backup. Absolutely on par with Billy Joel's 'And so it goes', just with a far superior voice. The Doobies never recovered after he left, and were nowhere when he joined. Genius.
