I love Dr. Mike for his training advice, but he is likely mistaken here.
There are nuances here, to where any rushed conclusion in either direction is not appropriate. Dietary cholesterol and its effects on serum cholesterol appears to follow a hyperbolic curve (1. Link). What this means is that the lower the serum cholesterol at baseline, the greater impact dietary cholesterol has. The higher baseline cholesterol, the lower the effect. This is the fundamental error many cholesterols studies make, and probably a main reason why controversy still exists around this topic.
The second link is a meta analysis of metabolic ward experiments (heavily controlled dietary experiments), that show upon taking away cholesterol or taking away saturated fats and replacing them with other calories (so isocaloric conditions are met), drops in serum cholesterol are observed. If they were to increase cholesterol or sat fat consumption, it may not show these results because of the above considerations. There is further evidence I can link that show increases in serum cholesterol after increasing dietary cholesterol in participants that have low serum cholesterol at baseline.
The evidence is not conclusive in the “no” direction, there is evidence for a very clear relationship here, if the nuances are realized. All it takes is an open mind and honesty. And unhealthy food should not necessarily be avoided, eat as much as you’d like, but don’t fool yourself into thinking they are healthy/have no unhealthy aspects to them.
      1. r.jordan.im/download/cholesterol/hopkins1992.pdf (copy and paste link if interested and the graph is figure 1 on page 4 showing the hyperbolic relationship)

I do not specialize in this field but nutrition, epidemiology, medicine is an interest.
Yes, you have it correct. Dietary cholesterol has the most impact when serum (blood) cholesterol levels are low. This means that any given amount of cholesterol, let’s say adding 100mg a day, will produce a much greater percentage change in serum cholesterol if the serum cholesterol is lower. If the serum cholesterol is higher, adding 100mg of dietary cholesterol a day will likely produce a smaller percentage change in serum cholesterol.
I’m not saying to stop eating eggs. I’m not even saying that eggs are necessarily unhealthy in all situations. I only want others to realize that there are unhealthy components in eggs. And if heart disease (among other vascular-related diseases) is a serious concern for an individual, My recommendation would be to limit/eliminate egg yolks.

Old myth that comes from ignorance.
Are firefighters dangerous because there are many of them whenever there is a massive fire??
If you have constant inflammation in your body, cholesterol will get high because its used to repair the damage you are doing.

@@luffebassen high LDL is also a sign of longevity, go figure. The reason it gets to be a health risk is because of bad food intake, too much carbs/sugar and seed oils will glycate/oxidize LDL to turn it into the bad variants

@@Cenot4ph I agree until you mentioned "bad variant".
What iv learned, is that there is no bad variant.
The reason its seen as bad, is because its doing repairs inside inflammed veins and if you keep eating a bad diet that will make you have high insulin all day that causes more damage, then more repair is needed and this repair then eventually clogs up your veins which ofc is bad.
But that would be like fire fighters blocking a road because more and more are needed from you keep setting cars on fire.
