Can't stop watching these videos. Your amazing boss . I work on junk for a living love every min. Of it . Keep up the great work and videos. I'm locked in and ready for anything you go coming on videos thanks ken . Merry Christmas
I like your site, You don't waste anything! You reuse anything that can be reused, I,m the same way although I'm not using LS engines, I'm still stuck in the stone age even my daily drivers are Carbureted ! I'll learn how to make modern engines run some day!
That was great idea for bleeding brakes! One thing I do is put a piece of clear hose on the bleeder, point it up, so much easier to see the air bubbles and you don’t get brake fluid everywhere. Your videos and work awesome! Thanks for sharing!
A true hot rodder. Making do with little or nothing. I so enjoy your little technics for doing shit. Looking forward to the next one keep them coming. Haven't missed one yet
I use a bug sprayer that you pump up and a make a deal that clamps to the top of master cylinder so no air gets in but put some fluid pressure on the master cylinder without pushing pedal and then corner to corner bleed and if necessary pump up once more but no helpers and no fuss ... just a shortcut of a store bought toy for pressure bleeding brakes. Ford used those fuel connectors and I reused them same way with stuff as I wasn't out to make them stores rich when I wasn't... stuff always gets in way when on a roll. Good for another video anyway and keep us coming back for more... I always give your website a plug when talking to the others as well so good luck
Great video as usual. I bleed brakes by putting vacuum hose in a brake fluid jug and other end on bleeder and pump the brakes. Works good for me. Just make sure hose is in fluid. Keep fluid in master cylinder
Great idea with the clamp..I've used those vacuum ones with mixed results. I've had problems with after market chinese sending units reading correctly....I found a company (a guy in his garage really) technoversions he makes a device called a meter match that gets wired between your sending unit and gauge and allows you to calibrate it at like 4 stages if you desire and I believe it works on other type gauges also. It goes for like 40-50 bucks...well worth it for me with an original muscle car were you don't have a lot of options.
Way way back lol i used to use a a small vac pump 12volts going into a small reservoir .with a remote switch . push down on the peddle and switch on. Pulls the oil though a treat .I still have it some where .
Haha that would be nice, although I find attaching stuff the bleeder doesn't always work for me and air still manages to get in there, but the vacuum deal might be the ticket.
Just in time... needed break from snow shovlin'! Another great tutorial ,with another good reason to keep dimensional wood cut offs.Things coming right along , I like the bar clamp trick. Hope NASA doesn't borrow you from us .Although they may let you put MOON discs on a space shuttle!
Will have to get one of those wood clamps for the next time I bleed brakes. I have always push the pedal down and wedge a bat, pipe or piece of wood between the brake pedal and steering wheel or seat.
Open to trying another brake bleeding method? Get some of the clear plastic tubing used for air systems for fish tanks. Cut a length long enough to fit over your bleeder and go into a partial bottle of brake fluid. Put the tube on the bleeder, in the bottle then open your bleeder. Pump your brakes, tighten the bleeder. Air can escape the system but isn’t drawn back in because the tubing is submerged in the partial container of brake fluid.
yeah that hasn't always worked for me there are one way bleeders that I've tried and hit's been hit and miss with those also, this way has always worked for me .
Brent im digging the videos love the tools and things you have made my last job i ran a welding shop for 25 years so ive seen alot of jigs. And home made machines created fo making things and i will say you can work w ith anyone (if your shop could make it through the big blast at the end of the world it. You and two roaches left ha ha ha no shit dude.
I have a question that maybe you can answer. Before your video starts I have a black screen that says "An error has occurred". I think this might be an ad running before yours pops up. Any insight to this as it does happen with various videos also ? Thanks. 0:20 That part do don't know what to call is the center link. Lol. But hey I'm here to watch and learn. 3:41 "You lie like rug" Somebody's there to help you. Lol. It's either that or you can bleed brakes and operate a lift at the same time. P.S. only having fun with you. Also good tip on bleeding the brakes.
Hey there! I subscribed a little while ago as I saw you were building your Pontiac coupe. I have a '37 Buick coupe that my Dad built about 20 years ago and its still going strong. You don't see too many '37-'38 BOP cars on the 'Tubes so I have been watching this build. I also like your other stuff too! I'm currently putting my mostly scratch built 1929 Model A hot rod shop truck back together. It has a similar look to your little truck. Keep up the good work there up north! Here is a video on my Buick and one on the pickup. Buick: ruclips.net/video/I4DbefV8Qnw/видео.html Model A: ruclips.net/video/sUN9qCnJm40/видео.html
@@HalfassKustoms Yep ... you need a tight fit on the bleeders for it to work. If I have an extra cap for the master cylinder I will just pressurize it. They make kits to do that, but it's more money than I want to put out.
That reuse of the old GM fuel line connection and your wood block drilled out and cut is genius. That's Factreee!
haha cool eh :)

The Front End part that you did not know the name for is called Center Link. Now I know that the fuel ends are reusable. Thanks. Great Show.

thanks for sharing Brent. every time, normal things for you, are always so interesting to see and learn...

Always a pleasure to learn something from someone who's in there doing it and not just a theorist.

I'm looking at all the floor pan work you've already done and I'm really impressed.
Thanks!
Great hack with the wood block and used fuel fittings! Thanks for sharing!!

yeah same with the vacuum stuff hit and miss more frustration than anything haha, fuel gauge thing sounds neat.
learned enough from this video. I like to reuse parts and make something good out of it myself.

Here in the states. We call that thing a center link bar. Well at least in Ohio.
Haha yeah that sounds right.
Love the Torpedo headlights on top of the overall coolness of this car. Very Dick Tracy kinda cool fo sho!
@4:00 I usually use a block of wood between the pedal and the seat 🤣🤣🤣

Can’t believe 3 people put thumbs down, thanks for some more no how
Center link is what it called
how hard is it to register the car with so many miss-matched parts
Genius!

If ya can't make fun of your friends...they aren't friends. Just gotta take it too..lmao!
You bet!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
great trick on those fuel fittings! can't tell you how much cussing and money spent on them on a ford truck about 15 yrs ago.
Yeah and the line is now more affordable than it was years ago.
BFG 🤔 BFH 👍
I subscribe to Waylon...

Cool stuff man, dig the model A, I have a model A pickup as well powered by a 2.2 Chevy.
you should be able to just heat the end of your hose a tad and just slip them fitting on bro
I find they seem to feel loose in the hose if done that way, they just don't seem as snug.
Don’t forget get rpm and 5 gage dual
BFG?..... BFH.... Maybe?
Haha yeah missed it by one letter
cherry bombs cool
Asbestos fingers pulling those hoses off those fittings
Not quite, had to pull out the pliers haha
i use a 2by4 lol
Yep that works to, not as adjustable though haha
Making something from nothing ( the only way )

I've done similar things bleeding brakes, but I use this tool now: www.harborfreight.com/brake-fluid-bleeder-92924.html
for some reason I don't have much luck with those, they might work good on new bleeders though.
@@HalfassKustoms Yep ... you need a tight fit on the bleeders for it to work. If I have an extra cap for the master cylinder I will just pressurize it. They make kits to do that, but it's more money than I want to put out.
