Channie actually wrote Social Path about his trainee days and thought about how the boys could relate to the song, and yes I cried when he explained it lol LALALALA is about a battle of emotions- every location is a different emotion and the aliens represent stage fright. The battle is going on in the kids' heads as they perform and as each location gets destroyed and the Chinese characters for each emotion disappear, in the end pleasure/satisfaction is the emotion that wins. (the Chinese character for pleasure is pronounced like "rock" ) Chan made Megaverse by taking samples from a bunch of their songs, from different "universes", and I think it's so cool. I recommened their stage performance they did at the unveil concert (it's on JYPE's RUclips channel) Not sure how much you've seen them live but this would be a cool introduction to their live performing skills! Sorry for the long comment!!
SOCIAL PATH is mostly about Channies journey to get where he is today.
During each members verse they are showing what their greatest fears are.....
Changbin......sleep paralysis
Han......Anxiety/Trypophobia
Chan...... work based anxieties
Seungmin.....Claustrophobia
Lee Know.....Fear of Heights
I.N....... being forgotten/ignored
Hyunjin.....being left behind/alone
Felix....... overthinking
The story is not just in the lyrics but also in the performance story line.
It's a story of how this bunch of misfits got together and became a team despite their fears.
When you see Channie being ripped at that was part of his fear of not knowing what was needed of him in order to debut. After that you see Channie rising in the air like he is ascending to the heavens then the boys ripped thewall down.
Channie has been very open about his mental state at the time and how the boys literally saved him. Without them he may not be here, on this earth.
It's the personal story that makes this song a winner for me.
I think Hyunjin's fear would be more being looked down at, talked trash about.. he sings it literally... cold eyes keep looking me down...
Stray Kids are amazing!! The monsters represent fear, anxiety,happiness,sadness the kids are them and them breaking free from performance anxiety ETC. The 3/25 on the bus is their debut date. Thanks for your reactions.

Yes, they are amazing. they have so many songs and all their songs are different and suit every mood. I love them very much for that. there are songs that I like more, there are less, but there is not a single part of their discography that I would not like

Social Path is from Chan's experience but relatable to all of them. LiSA is a BIG deal in Japan! I really appreciate how their Japanese tracks are so different from their Korean music. They really understand their audience. FYI - their Japanese songs never have subtitles. Maybe in your own time you can check out a lyrics video to get a better idea of the meaning, and to help rid yourself of the creepy religious vibes? Yikes! Also the bts/recording vids are always so fun and/or interesting.

LALALALA is such an epic and beautiful video! So much going on, and every little thing has significance. The 8 little performers were facing stage fright, and SKZ were battling their demons. The Chinese characters - joy, anger, sorrow, pleasure - slowly dissolve until only pleasure remains. And yes, that set was ginormous and there were like 100+ dancers/performers!

"Our composition brings the competition but we've already won in this megaverse" has got to be the biggest flex line I've ever heard. It's like they're saying, we're so good it makes everyone else try to compete but no matter how hard they try we are always the best in every universe. I just love that line so much, as soon as I heard it Megaverse became one of my favorites of theirs (even though it's very different from my usual Skz music taste lol)

LA4 Stray Kids were basically in the minds of the little kid on stage. He was super nervous and scared and anxious. The big monsters were basically the "audience" they had to perform in front of which was the cause of all of their stress. Stray Kids being in the kids minds (which is why all the scenes were so very random because a kids mind is super random) were helping them battle these emotions from within. Every time a monster disappeared they defeated one of the emotions keeping the kids from enjoying themselves. And in the end they succeeded which is why at the end you see the actual audience instead of the monsters. So the song is about letting go of these fears and anxiety and just enjoy your life.
At the end of Megaverse that is Tablo himself. I think they are teasing an upcoming collab for sure!

LiSA is a Japanese songwriter and singer. She sang Demon Slayer's 'Gurenge'. She also sang Demon Slayer's 'Homura'. I really love her voice.

Most skz tts are jam-packed anthems. They are usually not my favourite parts of albums but I love them in their own way.

Thanks for checking latest comeback. To give an understanding to SKZ comebacks: beside teasers, first a clip of theme of album comes out which I very much suggest you watch them when you decided to listen to whole album. Also JYP gives us a documentary of members thoughts on album especially 3racha. Usually we get unveil track of some of b-sides but very rarely we never get a compelete version of some b-sides that we've got teasers for.
For this comeback I think we got a teaser of Cover me but instead of complete version, we got a SKZFLEX which I'm more than happy about it and recommend you also watch both of them😊

I’m not a fan of Social path, not my taste but I like Lisa’s voice and the topic of the song. Megaverse is good but not my taste ever. But the MV and performances are top tier. I really love La la la la, it’s so epic. I love the beat, the choreography and it’s so good live.

I forgot to say that I listened to Han's second rap verse in Megaverse more than the whole track. I dunno why it's just me stuck to it. Everybody seems okay while listening to it

I'm going to reply to myself with breakdowns & infor for Social Path & LALALALA & Megaverse.
Social Path:
Chan has talked about how he wrote the lyrics about his years as a trainee. Since he was a trainee for 7 years, he has seen a lot of mental suffering watching all his friends either debut without him, or get dropped from the programs. He and Felix also had to give up friends & family to move to a different country & take a chance on a life that had no guarantees for success.
LiSA has been putting out awesome music for around 11 years. Chan has always looked up to her & the Kids were very excited to collaborate with her.
The MV
-The bag people seem to be representative of both faceless people who are both worshiping & hating at the same time, or inner doubts & thoughts that come when they are alone.
-I.N is the first to stand against the tide of people & grasp the light.
-Everyone stays isolated till Chan gets taken by the hands. They all had separate things happening. Being isolated, being stared at, being forced to constantly run, being chained in one place, etc. Then Chan is taken & they are suddenly moving.
-LiSA seems to be a unified voice leading them in a direction. She has the lines " the ashes to prove my passion burning endlessly" (Or close to it....I am horrible at remembering exact lyrics)
-When they are unified & moving against the crowds, the ones who are most able to withstand pressure without flinching are in the lead. (Lee Know, and Changbin are the most obvious at the front making a path for the others)
-When they reach the wall Chan had been trapped against, they tear it open. There is only 7 of them when this happens....They are going through to reach Chan. (Chan has said in multiple instances that the other members have saved him. If it wasn't for them, he doesn't even think he would be on this planet)
-When they are 8 is the only time you see them smile.
-There are shadowy hands that are trying to touch Changbin in the beginning, and just as he wakes up you see clawed hands reflected in his eyes/the moon.
-Felix's wing actually kinda seems slightly separate from him. Almost as if he has a guardian angel protecting him. It lifts & reveals him a little before starting to cover him again. He is also in the exact place Changbin was when he awoke from his nightmare. The bed is the same in all instances, but this is the only time the surroundings are exactly the same.
-In the final dance scene, the only ones with no red in their outfit are Chan, Changbin, and Felix. I listened to someone explain that the colours kinda mean something. LiSA has a strong red & black theme. She seems to represent courage & determination. The others have red in their outfits because they gained those from outside sources. (Like the other members, or helpful people) The three who have no red are ones who already had those and didn't get them from an outside source. Changbin & Felix are the least effected during the MV. Felix already had an inner fire, and Changbin refused the shadowy hands. Chan was taken, but he didn't stop trying to escape. There are many flashes of Chan staring ahead, or jerking awake & not just allowing himself to be swallowed. You see him float above the people who took him, until the others break through to him.
LALALALA:
A breakdown of the MV for you. I think the giant figures represent Fear & stage fright. (They also seem to be based on Japanese spirits of drowned sailors called Umibozu) They dissipate when the words of the emotions in the children's heads disappear. I believe the floating characters are the words Joy, Anger, Sorrow, and Happiness/pleasure. (This is what I have been told. It seems to be a mix of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, and I can read none of those.) There are four factions for four groups of the members. Since the four factions represented emotions, the locations were different. Anger was at the bottom of the ocean. It's a dense emotion that we try to smother & it thrives under pressure.The members who represent this emotion are pirates. Joy was a bank. It's an emotion that we store & take out for special things. The members that represent this emotion are in denim, but surrounded by clowns who look like the ones from the Dark Knight. Sorrow was a stark place of floating ash and monuments that were like graves. The members who represent this emotion are in pale & washed out colors mixed with white. Happiness/Pleasure was in a fort of musical instruments. It's an emotion that's loud & messy. We hear it before we see it. The members who represent this emotion look a lot like people from Mad Max mixed with military.
Now. Anger attacked Joy first. They bypassed Sorrow altogether. (You can see this in the map they showed.) But it didn't turn out. Anger was defeated & captured. That was the first word to dissipate. The next to fall was Joy. Happiness/Pleasure snuck in disguised as clowns & planted a bomb. (We saw I.N talking on a communicator & one of the clowns also had one. He later takes off the mask as he leaves revealing it's Han, yet you can also see pirate Han still tied on the floor behind him.) The bomb went off. Since the bus was in both Joy & Sorrows' realms (Back half in Joy, front in Sorrow. We can't have one of those emotions without having felt the other.) we see the explosion as the camera pans to Sorrow, and the word for Joy dissipates as well. Sorrow falls & we see that Happiness/Pleasure is all that remains. They have gathered parts of the other emotions & folded them into their own. Happiness/Pleasure is very nuanced. It can contain elements of the other emotions and still be the same.
Also. I think Lee Know said (In the video with them reacting to the music video) that the children are them when they were young. And over the years these emotions that they felt at varying times have been "defeated" and all that's left is pleasure in their music. The sequence of emotions & dissipation of said emotions seems to mirror their own journey. When they first started, everything was pretty evenly balanced. They hit a few hard times & anger kinda made an appearance, but then they started enjoying things more....Then Woojin left & sorrow took hold for a while. But they came out of that better balanced, and now are taking pleasure in their work once again. Currently they take pleasure in their work, it's tempered with the other emotions, but the dominating drive they have is happiness & pleasure. The lyrics of the song are about locking away your stress & meeting the world with fun & music.
The bus is an interesting thing. As well as being between the the factions of Joy & Sorrow (The back part was fully in Joy's section....But the front was in Sadness. Almost as if it had crashed into it.) , it's actually a call back to their beginning. And it's not the one from District 9, it's the one from Grow Up that was heading to District 9. I do think the District number being 325 is significant. Since that is the debut date, it has now become the beginning district. It WAS district 9 for the 9 of them, but that has changed over the years. And it is no longer just them. They invited ALL of us in in Back Door. At the beginning, it was small & sheltered. They were very careful of their district. But as they grew in confidence, they threw the notice out to everyone who wants to enter...All we have to do is knock.
And Felix didn't swear. Felix is saying the Korean word for Shh. I believe it's Swit? So it's a work around on the no swearing rule. Stray Kids love homophones. I mean, look at the title for the album & this song. It means happiness/pleasure in Chinese. But it sounds like the English word "rock". So the album is Rock Star, and it's all about emotions. Every song on this album is designed to touch our emotions in different ways.
Megaverse:
This is actually pretty straight forward in it's presentation. In the MV the security guard was doodling on the pictures of SKZ. So...They showed up.
- The guard represents people who disrespect SKZ, or just haters in general.
- Chan had doodles on his sweater, so that shows he is ready to stand in the way of things for his teammates.
- The guard had drawn a scar on Hyunjin, and he ended up with a cut in the same place. Meaning that what you try to do to hurt SKZ, it will most likely end up reflecting on you.
- The members seem to warp in & out of each other. The only time we see them at the same time is with Lee Know, Seungmin, and I.N. This means that is you mess with one member, you get all of them. They are inseparable.
- They never actually touch the guard. They blow him away with sound & music.
- The guard never actually leaves the room. When he got thrown through the glass, it was back into the room. When he was smashed through the floor, he landed in the same room. When he tried to escape in the elevator, he ended up in the same room. Meaning anywhere you go, Stray Kids will be there.
