I know you have seen some of these, but I'm going to leave you a list of stuff that makes up Skz story line. I give this list to any baby Stay I come across to help them in their SKZ journey, and I pass it on to others who want to know. I think this is a great way to show your roommates the Lore of SKZ. I'm going to include some songs I think are part of the story, but not quite. I'll put them in brackets. And yes. The trailers & teasers I list are needed for the story. Hellevator isn't needed, but it's kind of important to watch. Parts of it are seen through out the story line.

If no one else pointed out, according to Chan and Hyungin, Red Lights was about compulsion and not being able to put things aside. Work having them by the throat. The choreography is mirrored a lot because they are talking to themselves.

i mean when talking about the mv, red lights was also directed by an openly queer director that works with skz a lot. they also wanted it to seem like they were almost a mirror, talking to themselves, fighting themselves. also lots of bdsm stuff which was hella cool, very artistic

Red Lights was initially about being a workaholic and letting it consume you. They wanted to make it sexy for STAY. The red lights is referring to the lights outside the recording studio.
The moral of the story for LALALA is to not let anger, sorrow or anxiety hold you back from having pleasure or joy in your life.
The references were to the Bat Man Movie Dark Knight (clowns). Pirates of the Carribean, Mad Max and I'm not sure what the 4th was.
They hired out a sports stadium... basketball i think, perhaps the school hall where SKIZFLIX was filmed. There was 150 extras for that MV. If you look closely towards the end when the flames go off, you can see the stands.

LOVED THIS REACTION. This was probably one of my fave reaction videoes to stray kids. Please show more of them to your friends, and I think it would be awesome if you could show them more of their personalities as well. I think they'll enjoy watching funny clips to see the boy's dynamics. Also, don't ne afraid of being canceled. We all had the same reaction when seeing red lights for the first time😂 actually, i think it would be fun if u show ur friends gayer moments of skz bcz the funniest thing about them is that everyone acts gay for eachother and honesty it's hilarious if u don't take it too srsly. I think it should help them get the kpop overly close relationships easie4 as well! Annyway PLEASE keep these coming cuz this was amazing!

Here. A synopsis of the LALALALA video for your friends.
For the story of the MV, I think the giant figures represent Fear & stage fright. (They also seem to be based on Japanese spirits of drowned sailors called Umibozu) They dissipate when the words of the emotions in the children's heads disappear. I believe the floating characters are the words Joy, Anger, Sorrow, and Happiness/pleasure. (This is what I have been told. It seems to be a mix of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, and I can read none of those.) There are four factions for four groups of the members. Since the four factions represented emotions, the locations were different. Anger was at the bottom of the ocean. It's a dense emotion that we try to smother & it thrives under pressure.The members who represent this emotion are pirates. Joy was a bank. It's an emotion that we store & take out for special things. The members that represent this emotion are in denim, but surrounded by clowns who look like the ones from the Dark Knight. Sorrow was a stark place of floating ash and monuments that were like graves. (Also has the Japanese word for love on one of those markers) The members who represent this emotion are in pale & washed out colors mixed with white. Happiness/Pleasure was in a fort of musical instruments. It's an emotion that's loud & messy. We hear it before we see it. The members who represent this emotion look a lot like people from Mad Max mixed with military.
Now. Anger attacked Joy first. They bypassed Sorrow altogether. (You can see this in the map they showed.) But it didn't turn out. Anger was defeated & captured. That was the first word to dissipate. The next to fall was Joy. Happiness/Pleasure snuck in disguised as clowns & planted a bomb. (We saw I.N talking on a communicator & one of the clowns also had one. He later takes off the mask as he leaves revealing it's Han) The bomb went off. Since the bus was in both Joy & Sorrows' realms (Back half in Joy, front in Sorrow. We can't have one of those emotions without having felt the other.) we see the explosion as the camera pans to Sorrow, and the word for Joy dissipates as well. Sorrow falls & we see that Happiness/Pleasure is all that remains. They have gathered parts of the other emotions & folded them into their own. Happiness/Pleasure is very nuanced. It can contain elements of the other emotions and still be the same.
Also. I think Lee Know said (In the video with them reacting to the music video) that the children are them when they were young. And over the years these emotions that they felt at varying times have been "defeated" and all that's left is pleasure in their music. The sequence of emotions & dissipation of said emotions seems to mirror their own journey. When they first started, everything was pretty evenly balanced. They hit a few hard times & anger kinda made an appearance, but then they started enjoying things more....Then Woojin left & sorrow took hold for a while. But they came out of that better balanced, and now are taking pleasure in their work once again. Currently they take pleasure in their work, it's tempered with the other emotions, but the dominating drive they have is happiness & pleasure. The lyrics of the song are about locking away your stress & meeting the world with fun & music.
The bus is an interesting thing. As well as being between the the factions of Joy & Sorrow (The back part was fully in Joy's section....But the front was in Sadness. Almost as if it had crashed into it.) , it's actually a call back to their beginning. And it's not the one from District 9, it's the one from Grow Up that was heading to District 9. I do think the District number being 325 is significant. Since that is the debut date, it has now become the beginning district. It WAS district 9 for the 9 of them, but that has changed over the years. And it is no longer just them. They invited ALL of us in in Back Door. At the beginning, it was small & sheltered. They were very careful of their district. But as they grew in confidence, they threw the notice out to everyone who wants to enter...All we have to do is knock.
And Felix didn't swear. Felix is saying the Korean word for Shh. I believe it's Swit? So it's a work around on the no swearing rule. Stray Kids love homophones. I mean, look at the title for the album & this song. It means happiness/pleasure in Chinese. But it sounds like the English word "rock". So the album is Rock Star, and it's all about emotions. Every song on this album is designed to touch our emotions in different ways.

Nah, he says "쉿" (sounds halfway between "sh1t" and "shwit") in LALALALA. It legit means "shoosh/shush," and he said it with proper pronunciation because he meant it. We know when they actually use that wordplay to get away with saying and meaning "sh1t," since Chris started it in "Playing With Paints" and Seungmin and I.N. continue it elsewhere on this new album, deliberately mispronouncing it.
Red Lights was directed by an openly gay man who's familiar with the scene, someone who blatantly used homoerotic imagery as a metaphor for the obsession in this song. No actual STAY is going to cancel y'all for recognizing that. You're good. Fwiw, they're portraying two sides of the same person/two entities in the same body -- Hyunjin compared it to something like the character Venom. Hence all the mirrored dance and movement, the black and white contrasts, etc. Reason vs obsession are embattled.
Well thought out answers for both those issues. One of 3racha magically powers will cause you to realize that not everything is as it seems at first glance... or even at the 2nd one.. Stay figured that Chan would figured out a way to (not)cuss in songs to get pass-thru the Korean market (he really really wanted too). But the use of s-e-x-y imagining for the actual meaning of obsession or addiction & finding the perfect director to bring all the elements together was R&B genius. Hyunjin's lyrics, Chris's music drops/beats, & Novvkim directions & the editors/stylist/3R/etc., made this into a Fine Art masterpiece.

They did perform Hello Stranger live this year for their third Fanmeeting in Seoul at the beginning of July. There was no choreo, it was just them vibing when they moved closer to the audience in moving chariots .

I haven't seen a comment about this yet so I'll be the one writing it. If I remember correctly the director of the Red Lights MV is out as queer and the implied gayness in the video was very much on purpose. Sadly I don't remember where exactly I read that, maybe their Instagram? Skz also worked with them multiple times - I believe Easy for example was also directed by them.

They write and produce their own music. They don't do their own choreography but they do have input into it. If you want to hear their softer stuff check out winter falls or never ending story. For their harder stuff check out venom, Freeze, easy, domino, topline....i could go on for a while.
