    What do you think of the V15? Do you recommend any other Boruit lights?

    Here are the most important points of the Boruit V15.
    The symbols on two buttons do not match their functions. The symbols have been copied from Nitecore flashlights. I can't fathom why Boruit couldn't print some more appropriate indications on the buttons.
    The coloured side LEDs are not true colour LEDs, but white LEDs with a coloured plastic filter on top. Their colour tint is unpleasant in comparison, obviously.
    The worst drawback of this Boruit V15 is the fact that, to turn on the main light, you must double-click quickly the left button; a quick single click will do nothing. A long single click activates the turbo - as long as it is kept pressed.
    When you connect the charger, the light is completely deactivated.
    The flashlight head only rotates 40° toward each side.
    The V15 has the largest battery of all Boruit lineup: 1200 mAh. The flashlight will not overheat normally.
    I bought the V15 on Amazon, and I paid £30 for it. The light arrived via Amazon Prime the day after.

      Thanks for your detailed thoughts! To be honest I assume that the buttons are probably bought from a supplier instead of formed in-house. After using the V20, I really wish the V15 had the full 180 tilting head with the ratcheting hinge, so much nicer.
      The UI I can see the turn off, I prefer being able to single click to turn on a light, but I also appreciate that the double click style acts as almost a natural lock out mode to avoid accidentally activation. I don't personally need that, I've never really struggled with accidental activation, but that's a big thing for some folks.

    Any chance of reviewing V20?

      I wouldn't mind reviewing it. I believe Boruit wish to work with the channel further after Chinese new year, so more reviews will follow. If the V20 isn't part of that I might just pick one up myself, though I think it'd probably be March or April before a video is published on it.

    1200 lumens right?

      The Turbo mode is 1200 lumens, yes.

      @@gearedforward Is the turbo mode where you have to hold the button down, or can you just press it?

    • @gearedforward
      @gearedforward  5 месяцев назад

      @@rydermiller4263 on this light you have to press and hold for turbo only unfortunately. There's also no given runtimes for turbo mode in the manual either as far as I recall.
      If you're interested in a light with that lumen count for more continued use, I'd recommend something a little relatively larger. The 1200 lumens here is just for a quick 'whats that over there' use case.
