  • Cancer cells are hungry. To feed their rapid growth and division, their metabolism changes. Moreover, they use sugar (glucose) in a different way to normal cells. This animation, created by Nature Reviews Drug Discovery, explores the key aspects of the altered metabolism in cancer cells and explains how these can be exploited for the development of new anticancer strategies.

    *Bitter food and spices* can induce flushing of old cells by cell apoptosis.
    Such bitter foods can slow down cancer, if all the other diet / environment factors are healthy too.

    For over 6 months my wife kept on complaining about bloating and her inability to pass stool. I believed it was just constipation because we all do have this symptoms sometimes in our lives to be honest. It went on for months and when her stool became black with pains around her abdomen, we knew we had to see the doctor (maybe we shouldn't had delayed this). An ultra sound and colonscopy was carried out and then we heard the shock of our lives, she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer with mets to her liver already.
    She rushed into treatment and she was already into 2 rounds of chemo when her body couldn't take it anymore. I prayed and did everything I could care for her because I knew very well if she was in my shoes she'll do the same and lots more. Taking care of the kids with little help from her was the hardest part. Cannabis oil, dandelion root, essiac tea and any supplement I could find, i used them all just to give her more quality of life but they only stabled her condition.
    A friend of ours that went over to Mexico for alternative treatment for her breast cancer told us how effective it was and gave us the info of the herbalist that cured her.
    I contacted the herbalist without any real faith honestly because I knew we were losing this battle. He first of all changed her diets weekly and sent us his herbal Apollo oil and tea (doesn't contain any cannabis). It's been over 8 months since my wife used these herbs and every symptoms are gone. We did some scans and colonscopy and the oncologist declare her NED! my wife is kicking fine
    I know conventional treatment has helped some people but i can boldly claim and say I have witness the miracles of alternative meds. These herbs are the closets thing to a cure from my own experience. In the end I see no harm in trying from all angles to align your body to be strongest in assisting and fighting this horrible disease.
    For any one that wish to kill this disease natural, i believe you can and there is hope no matter how bad it may look, my wife is a testimony. Here is the personal contact for any one that wishes to contact the herbalist in Mexico; drehimenherbal@gmail.com
    I believe this saved someone and I also hope someone can also share their story to the world.

    2:25 well who said it is unknown, it is very clearly known and is being researched - the reason is the oxygen dept occurring due to the increased metabolic rate of the tumor tissue in the early stages of development especially when the capillaries have not yet fully developed in and on the tumor. Again, it is well known.

    Do we know of any way of shutting down the enzyme that shuts down Lactate MCT? My theory is that because of the heightened rate of lactate production, shutting the outlet down, the lactate concentration in a cell would get high enough to destroy it. Because surrounding cell's don't produce nearly as much lactate, could it be a selective exterminant?

    So does glutamine cause cancer ? Or does it help fight it ?

    • @BetterDeadThanRed99
      @BetterDeadThanRed99 7 лет назад +1

      neither really. the difference is the complex metabolism of glucose. In cancer the process is more anaerobic, and produces more lactate. If I'm not mistaken.

    • @BetterDeadThanRed99
      @BetterDeadThanRed99 7 лет назад

      cancer cells use more glutamine than normal because they have specialized metabolism that is all about fast proliferation. The cancer cells need the boost of nitrogen that the glutamine provides.

    • @zendogbreath
      @zendogbreath 5 лет назад +2

      the cause is damaged mitochondria. once damaged they prefer fermentation over ox phosphorylation. even in the presence of o2. once damaged the mitochondria lead to damaged nuclear dna and avoidance of apoptosis and then proliferation.

    • @jorgefmendezaburto2238

      +code lyoko 34 You dont really replace glucose with ketones. Ketones start being the source of energy but you will still have a constant amount of blood glucose. It will decrease but it will still be there.

    Ok, ok. So could a super strict Kety type diet help? Just as a hypothesis. I know it can change the way that brain cells work, helping to prevent seizures, but could it be used in this process to "skip" the Glucose splitting and being used weirdly?
    Looking for actual answers, and I am willing to do a bunch of research on my own.
    Also, could/would this possibly be more useful in the treatment if Primary Brain cancers?

      @@jasalvatorekestrazzanti2715 Well I’ve learned more about the Keto diet from being on it. It changes more than just how your brain cells work, it changes the whole metabolism.
      It also makes you feel like shit for the first four to eight weeks. It takes longer if you are sick. It might not be a viable option just due to the fact that it might just kill the patient.
      During the transition process between using mostly carbs to using fat your body is literally starving. That’s a very bad thing for people on chemo or who just have the cancer. You could attempt a fat bomb, where you give them lots and lots of super high fat foods, but even then it might be too much. I have an appointment with my doc in a few weeks, So I’ll ask him. He’s also an expert on keto.
      Oddly enough, the diet works. IF you eat right. I’ve already lost like 15 lbs from my heaviest. I just HAVE to eat when I get up.

      not sure of your question. Jane McLellan addresses that much of the damaged dna from the successful apoptosis of cancer cells is take up again by the remaining cancer cells and reused structurally and for energy if not cleared out the the system in a timely manner. I think Travis Christofferson addresses this as well.
