Great tips, Monte! We definitely need to add a few of these to our list! Having never experienced a hurricane, we went totally overboard with some of our preparation (we taped the panes in the doors and actually brought the solar panels and A/C units down from the roof. Lol! Ugh!), and not enough attention on other practical things (e.g., backup battery packs and extra drinking water).
Thank you. The weather is definitely off this year so I will stay prepared.

Another great video ! There's no doubt this information is very obvious for local folks , but for many of our subscribers is valuable information too . We experienced hurricane Wilma back in Cancun , a devastating category 3 hurricane that lasted almost 3 days 😢. Always good to know how to plan in advance 😊
Glad you are all ok. Thanks for the quick peek at my meme! I created and posted it Friday night. 🤣 Unfortunately, as I write this, my friends back in Houston are getting clobbered by a direct hit from Beryl -- the biggest wind event in Houston since "Ike" in 2008. 😧
What I love about the houses in Mexico (Yucatán) are that they are concrete homes as opposed to the lesser quality of houses in Fl. I’ve seen a few of your videos. Does Mexico have “home insurance” or anything similar? Home insurance in Fl has become insane!
I just met you with my girl at the bus stop in Mérida. When you want to go to CDMX, I could be your guide, obviously, at no cost, because for me it is a real pleasure to show the wonders of CDMX and if you want to know something about pre-Columbian history, the viceroyalty and modern history of Mexico, so such as book recommendations and emblematic places in Mexico City and the country, I could also recommend some things to you.
How was Hurricane Milton in Mérida and the coastal areas of Progreso and Celestún passing through in the last 24 hours? Could get very little news of Yucatán from here in states.

That’s the challenge. Balancing your response to make sure you don’t too much or too little.
Great Info Brother!!!! We love your channel and enjoy watching you.
Thank you for watching and subscribing
Always great content. Glad you made it safely threw the storm. Stay ready, because this might be a long storm season.

Thanks.
I'm glad you made it through the hurricane. Downed power lines and flooding are a bad, bad combination.
@@comounaverdura indeed. We experienced none of that.

That meme was awesome and widely circulated. I’m praying for my Houston family.

Yes the concrete construction here is a must. We do have home insurance in Mérida and it’s relatively inexpensive.

Erik man thank you so much. What an amazing offer. I will definitely look you up on my next visit. Safe travels.
