So in the forgotten design document released by Greg Mayles, 4 years before the real battletoads coin op game was in development, this was going to be the 2nd stage of the toads being inside a dragon-like creature with the decent stage, which again was part of a 3-part level, the throat, the stomach, and the brain chase
So the original plan was 1.Spaceship with General Slaughter 2.Descent with Karnath as a boss 3.Stomach 4.Brain chase with the final boss being the brain 5.Rescue santa in the icy caverns with admiral Oink as a boss 6.The Dark Queen's spaceship with Robo Rat as a boss 7.Dark Queen's stronghold with Blag 8.Final shootout with Robo Manus Worthy of a Battletoads game to be quite honest, shame the game was cut short.
Some people claim magic doesn't exist. Whoever composed this track to fit in what is probably a small space in a SNES cartridge is a magician.. wow such a beautiful track.
Oh yeah! Bummer that it was barely known, and hard to believe I only saw this ONCE in arcades too! But at least it finally got a long awaited console release via the Rare Replay compilation on the Xbox One after all this time, thank goodness though!

Then the Karnath fight after the brain chase, which would have left the scrapped Admiral Oink fight for level 2 that we got ingame.
Karnath was gonna take place in between the throat and brain chase since Karnath was in it's stomach
@@turrican3839 so level 4 from ingame, karnath boss fight, brain chase?
Yes as intended originally

@@vladimir9248 ah you are right. I thought this was part of Battletoads in Battlemaniacs
I think it does sound like from an snes, like what happened in donkey Kong country games
@@mariomatos2130 Why don't you delete your comment? Don't embarass yourself.
Awesome music for an awesome game.
Definitely!

Sounds a bit like Donkey Kong Country 2 and that's great.
Definitely feeling the DKC2
Yeah but dkc music is more like escaping
This is more like sinister dark and emerging
Detective Biggles What you said.
Seriously David Wise is a musical genius during the 16 bit era.
@@BigK13372 I think he still is a musical genius. Look up Busted Bayou from Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Especially about 2 minutes in!
happy to have found this
I love this game so much, I wish the new battletoads never had existed.
I agree with you. The last Battletoads game from 2020 really didn't need it. Pure disappointment 😕
Man this shit gives me goosebumps!
Tks m MN!
