H-D XG 750 Street #76 Tank 01

Description: Here is a how to remove the fuel tank from a Harley Davidson XG 500 / XG 750 Street, which turns out not to be that easy. The tank removal and refitment comes in 03 parts.

One clip I replaced with a jubilee clip left the other alone, so in the future just remove that. I used an artery forcep to clamp on the pipe (stops one side) have an 8mm pipe running into a spare tank ready , pull pipe off and put the 8mm on the outlet quickly a towel catches the bit of gas. Remove forcep point attached tube straight into spare tank.
I just needed to see how to unclip the main fuel pipe......Thanks.

Thanks for sharing. I’m installing a 2 inch tank lift in this weekend, so this is very useful. Didn’t you lads want to siphon out the fuel instead of removing that hose? :)

Those little clamps are not meant to be reused. You cut through them to remove.

U could drain the tank through fill opening

hi guys.. i just lost power to my fuel pump fuse. would you know what relay runs that mini fuse box? i changed out the 4 relays in that box. any help would be much appreciated
