pitch forward with zero to no throttle, hold the appropriate pitch angle and then while holding use throttle to launch, no magnets. carbon fibre arms are smooth so it looks like they put some foam on the wood to stop the drone from sliding
Beta flight has a "lunch control" like in cars. You hit a switch, it gets into position and stays there until you throttle above a set threshold... It's one switch and the throttle stick. Nothing special and this is implemented like a year or even longer...

No this is take off mode you have to program it in betaflight its for racing drones
