@Coreficus first of all I'm a believer and second of all. If you can't fully preach the gospel to make people understand it, then don't just coming on here with that. The body of christ doesn't need anymore people just throwing that statement around so foolishly like you just did. Blessings to you!
Hopefully we can get the full set on DVD at some point? Watched the show live and this track, Parachute and Good Morning were the ones I was really looking forward to. This track is awesome. Melodic, atmospheric with a great ballsy ending. What's not to love?
Just wanted to say that this song got me through some dark times. My cat passed away from cancer around the time I first heard this song. He was only 6 and he was my baby boy. No joke, every time I hear the intro, I burst into tears. Thank you Covet for creating such a masterpiece. Can’t wait to hear this live ❤️
I have only been listening to Covet for about 6 months now but they have quickly become my favourite band and I think odessa has become my absolute favourite song. It just hits me in all the right ways and has buried itself deep into me and won't let go and it's an incredible to find new music that moves me in this way.
There's so many good things about this band. For example: the balance of all three play out really really well. Their sound is sentimental and songwriting is elaborate at the same time. The vividness that comes from combining their music with these videos helps (at least me) get through these bleak times. Thank you.
theres a town named odessa where i'm originally from in texas. i'm now in LA. this brought me back to all the good times i had with family and friends back home. thank you
This three are so freaking amazing together. Covet is proud that God loves us! Couldn't ask for a better combination of musicians. But I will not lie, I think Forest is one of the best drummers on this planet!
Those chordal lead lines are so unusual and beautiful. Great song. And that guitar tone! My head is floating. I've played for decades. Different amps, multiple rack effects, and I still haven't found a tone in any genre that's as good as that one. Dammit. ;)
I love how this song builds up and starts a stomp or March feel. I love how they tinker with different effects to make songs exciting to listen to when you first hear the song your surprised, like that feedback and effect rocks! Sick!
@@Full_Metal_Courier I'm aware. However there is always a chance that they work out whatever differences or issues they have (we don't know what exactly happened based off of what Yvette has said) but if they don't it will be very sad. Their chemistry when playing live music or recording was very special.
Wow I can’t believe covet made a music video on Odessa this legit made my wishes come true! I’ve been wanting to play this song for a while now because it has such a beautiful melody and to see how it’s played is absolutely mesmerising. Thank you for another spectacular video as always covet. Never stop making music!
I know this song is titled after Odessa, Ukraine but I get mad Explosions in The Sky vibes which of course produced one of the best scores in cinematic history; Friday Night Lights which takes place in Odessa Tx. That’s all, vibes.
The last live show I went to Covet was playing at and you just can't help but be happy looking at Forrest with his super contagious and friendly smile.
amazing! I feel like covet song construction gets better and better with every new release. I also just want to sit in this room and vibe with the flowers while playing music
Thank so much for creating such Masterpiece Songs, Covet. It always puts a smile on my face and gets rid of my Anxiety and pressure in life. I freaking love you guys!
Oh wow, thank you thank you thank you for doing a single for this one! It has been my favorite since you posted the sketch on Instagram. (Also, I’m the dude who said as much on the FB fan page)
This has the best like to dislike ratio on any RUclips video I've seen. Yvette....you need to sing more! That was amazing. Blessings to you and the crew. Much love from Nashville
Thank You !! Merci !! Danke !! Have I been in here for so long ?? But now my soul is all freed And without any place to go !! Could anybody suggest any Old place worthy of haunting ??
Oh, my! Gobsmacked gratitude from the UK 🤩 One day I hope to see Forrest and his fellow Tama player Akane from Band-Maid in a drum duet and grin-off... ✌🏻
I freaking love this band, they're real life changers
Covets music is a gift from God , it has gotten me through so many dark times!
They're going to be such a huge inspiration for young musicians!! (they are already-for me too)

@Dale Macarena I'll definitely check it out!
@Coreficus you made a statement, you didn't declare why it's truth..
The drummer is using every fiber of his being to not cheese smile the whole time
XD
4:50-6:42 absolutely blows me away each time.
The recording, the ambience and the music are pure magic, Insane good work by this project.
UGHH I WISH THAT FAT DRUM FILL TOWARDS THE END WAS ON THE RECORD, IT'S EVERYTHING
I'm so glad they made this video and that this song will get more attention because of it. It was definitely the best track on Technicolor after Nero.
Agree. Farewell is an easy second too

I wish I could be this good and have a lowkey life like this band. The perfect combination of enjoying life while being successful.

This is 'close your eye's and drift and sway' type of music. So nice!.

We have a city called Odessa in Ukraine) i enjoyed every second of the song! Thank you so much
song is named after that city!!
@@covettheband1206 hahah here I was assuming the whole time it was named after the Odessa here in Texas... Probably shoulda known lol
@@covettheband1206 Even more named after Yvettes Violin (?) tutor who was from there. I was still sober enough (just) for the post show chat.
@@Dylan-wg6ke lmao same. Im from midland and was like.. what are the odds.
I also thought it was Texas 😆
My friend's father passed away and I feel awful because I can't be with her to provide some moral support and this made me feel a little bit better.
So sorry to hear that... I hope you, her, and her family feel better. Stay strong.
I'm so sorry for you loss, bro. Keep strong.
Thanks guys, hope everyone has a nice night.
So sorry for your loss. She knows you're with her
Sorry to hear that man, hope you and your friend are doing okay ❤️
I got goosebumps listening to this for the first time. Spechless, so beautiful.
This is absolutely one of my favorite bands. Right up there with TOOL.
i miss the three of them together, hope they are all doing fantastic.
I love Odessa so much. What a performance 🤟🏻

Yvette voice is angelical.
her guitar?
@@joeh858 Too
@@JuanCruzFabi she doesn't sing in this song lol
@@joeh858 She does it in the acoustic version of this song.
@@JuanCruzFabi nope no singing in acoustic version either i think you have it mistaken with another song
I can't stop watching this video! Forrest Rice ghosting for days with a smile on his face like its the most natural thing on the planet.
I’m almost two minutes in and Forrest isn’t smiling... oh wait, there it is!
This three are so freaking amazing together. Covet is proud that God loves us! Couldn't ask for a better combination of musicians. But I will not lie, I think Forest is one of the best drummers on this planet!
Sounds like music from another world I really liked it.
what a beautiful song. I love covet.
My fave song of theirs. Really beautiful
well....that absolutely blew me away....wow...i actually have no words to have entranced i was into this. bravo.

The more and more I listen to this - the section from 5 - 6 mins is some of the best Godspeed you black emperor I've ever listened too 😂❤❤
condensed into one minute instead of 25 minutes of useless slog :P

OBSESSED WITH THE INTRO
She's amazing. Just...as...is. Amazing.
It will be amazingly sad if we never get to see these people play together again.
Forrest (drummer) and David (Bassist) are no longer playing with Covet. Yvette is still playing but now has new tour members

Love the guitar tone at the beginning, reminds me of the sound Jon Gomm uses in Passionflower
I love this song so much, I want it played at my funeral.
I can't love this tune any more. It's so perfect.

I was about to post asking if this song was a reference to EITS! Thanks for clearing that up.
The flow of this song and the build up is just masterful. Can't wait to hear this live again.
Playing fast is overrated.
Groove is neccessities. That's why I love mathrock genre like Covet.
Love from Nepal. 💖💖💖💖💖
Big fan of Forest smile too.

Yes! Also Wendy IS bae!
The only time i meet my people are in these comments
@Dale Macarena Forrest is the drummer for the band
I agree but you can be fast and melodic. Both have thier place and aren't mutually exclusive
This was such a pleasure to watch when it was livestreamed. I'm so happy this has been released.
What a special night this was. I hope you get to release the whole thing sometime :) The chat afterwards included! Love you all.

This song always reminds me of the story Professor Slughorn tells Harry. “It was beautiful magic, wondrous to behold.” This is beautiful magic.
