Thank you , mothers are beautiful
Dear Chef Singh,
Thank you so much for sharing all of your recipes! Your videos inspired me to cook Indian food for the very first time in my life, and your Mother's curry recipe is what I chose for my first recipe. It was AWESOME, and is was so tasty that my wife ate most of it, hahaha. Again, thank you for sharing and inspiring us to cook Indian food. We love your channel, and we love you!

Hey guys ok the
So I made the Curry earlier today and I must say, it turned out much better than expected! I also added rice as a side and it was very flavorful along with the curry. My mother loved this recipe as well. :) Though we're Mexican haha, but we love trying different foods.
+Miguel Roque Thank you..
I've made this, this is amazing! My first curry and I love it, cheers from Poland!
+Piotr C. Oh yes this is amazing..
An awesome tribute to your Mom! Loved your video!
This man Loved his mother. Very sweet when the onions made him cry, I've cried while cooking onions. He is a lovely person.
My mother's curry was leftover cooked-to-death roast mutton with stale curry powder and raisins. It was 1970s New Zealand, and I'm glad to have been able to learn to make it properly from people who know what they're doing.
:)
Beautiful recipe and a fantastic presentation. Just cooked it. About to add coriander. Smells and tastes divine. Thank you. God bless you and your mother.
I made this and it was so good it was the second time I used black cardamon, the first time I used them was to make your yellow onion gravy which was also excellent. I have loved Indian food for a long time but have always found it difficult to find a good restaurant but both these curries are better than anything I have ever had so thanks a million. I must admit I almost get as much enjoyment from the whole cooking experience from roasting and grinding the spices as I get from eating it.
great guy some one who talks about his mum like this deserves respect.great recipies.good luck chef...........what a beautiful blender..nice one.
NASREDDINE MANSOURI Thanks..

Thank you for sharing your mother's recipe. There's so much love that went into that yummy dish!
Thank you so much
top man Harpal, I am going out to buy the stuff i need to give this a go. It looks delicious and I wish i could smell the dish as you are making it
Love your mums curry, grinding the fresh spices makes such a difference, I have cooked this several times now and it ....... no words can describe, thank you Mrs Harpal Singh for sharing this.
Prior to making this recipe, I thought that "curry" was just a particular spice. I'm glad I tried this as my introduction into Indian cooking as I really, really enjoyed making it. I like my food spicy so only added a cup of water and let it simmer for a few hours. Truly delicious, thank you!
Curry is s generic term for dishes prepared in a gravy..
Grin Wicked Dod it smell and taste like curry even though no curry powder?
You can get curry powder which is just a blend of spices, I generally use it in my curries.
Yes Brian there is a difference if you cook chicken on bone against boneless, the earlier one remains soft and adds to the body of the gravy..
Yes with bone adds to the body of the gravy and for boneless you need to add stock to the gravy..
Did you try it..
chefharpalsingh hi, is that curry a bit watery? I use ground spices, but I use much more tumeric than in this video and in most recipes..I don't think mine is correct but I don't like when bland. In most recipes, it is always teaspoon of spices, but I use way more, is this ok?
Too much turmeric kills the final taste, this curry is not rich like other curries..
do you use coconut like milk or regular cocunt milk. is it ok if i use the coconut milk from puerto rico or is that to sweet
This one is super hit and very emotional...
Bless you dear Sir Harpal sokhi. Your mother would be so very proud of you in the work you do as a celebrity chef.

I've been wanting to make Curry Chicken for a while now. I finally decided to youtube a recipe and I like this one. My mother would cook all sorts of dishes from all over the world and one of those dishes was, of course, curry chicken. As soon as I get the ingredients I need I'll be making this.
This one is going to be most memorable dish..
I tried it and it was amazing!! Thank you so much 🌷 I'm from Kuwait & I'm in love with the indian food

Hi
I was watching your video. The way you cooked this dish is awesome.Your emotions and all spices made it great.Thanx for sharing your mother's taste.
I just made this exact recipe - with 3 chicken breasts instead of the chicken+bones. Everything else identical to the recipe. WOWWWW!!! Soooo flavorful. I had never tasted anything like this. I lived in Italy most of my life and now in the US. I am crazy about Indian food. This recipe is so simple yet absolutely delicious, so much better than what you get in most restaurants. Thank you so much Chef!
Rossana Motta thank you for trying
Beautiful things are beautiful and i love them..
Thanks for this video. I made it exactly as you described, and I used a mortar and pestle to grind the spices so that I could get the coarse texture, and chopped tomatoes rather than using canned pureed and it made all the difference in the world, very flavorful.
Wow thank you for following and loving my videos..
I liked this, it's a mild curry. Definitely worth a try
Yes do give a try and share the results..
Nothing like mom's cooking. Best chef right here sharing his passion.

Your comment on how you enjoyed his dish is something I look for when I watch these sort of vids..
I once seen a vid on curry chicken,, and it did not come out well at all, I ended up throwing away all my chicken, what a waste of time.
Seeing as you made THIS curry by THIS Chef - I'l try it.
Oh here is a tip for all you pressure cooker people.
I used my pressure cooker with chicken and once cooker starts to steam, I reduced the heat to a little more then a slow boil. Steam was still shooting out of the cooker... 15 mins seems too much and slightly over cooked the chicken legs. I just touched the chicken and it feel apart.
So I think 10mins to 13mins would be better more firm ( I GUESS ) haven't done it yet,,, \But for me 15mins is way too much.
good luck all
I am absolutely in love with your cooking videos, Chef....thank you SO much for sharing them!!!!

Hi Chef, well I said I'd try it and last night I did, it was very good, my wife likes potato in her curry so i added a couple, the overall result was a very tasty curry and the smell of the roast spices in the grinder was amazing! I made it with your Jeera rice with peas, that went down very well too and will definetly be making both again, thanks from Belfast :)

Yes I must agree with you on this.
They have amazing food, The most attractive women, I really enjoy their clothing with all them bright colours. Here where I live there are over 150,000 Sikh's here. There on my street is a house of worship which makes parking difficult on Sundays when they come to pray, lol
I often have a chance to talk to them, What delightful people they are .
Very sweet and humble indeed.
+John Smith Thank you
boned chicken has fat ,skin tendons and joints that get boiled into the curry that adds to the flavor. If you use lean boneless chicken breast it dulls the curry and you need to add a chicken stock to make up for the lost flavor
RogerMayday Thanks Right that is the reason any curry with bone tastes better and boneless one need the extra richness from the stock..
Hello! I am from Azerbaijan. And I so like Indian food, thank you very much, for your resepti. It's easy and testy!
chefharpalsingh: I enjoy watching your video. I feel your passion in your craft. Thanks!
for some reason he looks like ny physics teacher XD
and that lightrr is used in my schools chem lab XD
where did the curry leaves go anyway
My professor of geology and Eastern religions, Dr. Raj was also Sikh and looked almost exactly like the chef here. :)
Those who get watery dish, you need to cook the dish until the water has evaporated. It happens because the chicken you put in wasn't precooked.
Marinate the chicken and then cook it in the oven. Put that chicken in the gravy and mix it well for 10min.
Much love to your Maa, Chef Harpal Singh! Mothers always know best, I agree. Thank you

I've been cooking Indian food for decades and always grind all spice fresh on the day and make my own garam masalla. However, I'm always looking for new twists on recipes and I must say..., given the simplicity of this recipe, isn't bad at all and thoroughly recommend all those inclined to try it. Thanks to both yourself and your Dearest Mother.
