Adam worked with Dr. Jonas Salk who discovers the the Salk vaccine that eradicated Polio in the 50's. He is a very underrated singer...was groomed to be another "Johnny Mathis" type artist...he release an excellent Greatest Hits LP on CoEd records...I've worn out 2 copies.

This guy was on Good Times. He was Wilona's ex husband who was rich and trying to get her to remarry him and bought the Boutique and gave it to her. Never knew he was a singer. Interesting.

@@1talldaddy, yes, and he appeared twice on the show. The 1st time he appeared, he asked Wilona to marry him (and I believe travel with him), but she told him she couldn't because of Penny. The 2nd time he appeared on the show, he again asked Wilona to marry him, but under the condition that she quit her job at the boutique. She refused. He then bought the boutique so that Wilona could "run" it, but what he had in mind was for her to "run" it by going into the the boutique once, maybe twice a week. he thought that would satisfy her hunger to work, but Wilona refused. She didn't want to be controlled in that way. he didn't view it as control. He had seen his mother work her fingers to the bones and he swore to himself that his wife would never have to work.

Hello, do you know who is the rights-holder of this video? My father, Santa Baby composer Philip Springer, is the composer of this song. I am producing a documentary on his life/career. LOVE this video of Adam Wade singing Half the World. We are 50% publisher of the song, and I am in touch with the other publisher.

A Trivial note: Adam Wade became the first African American game show host on a short lived series called Musical Chairs on CBS back in 1975!

I was at one of the tapings! That's where I first heard, "Too Ra Loo Ra Loo Ra Loo Ra" - he sang it. I had NO idea it was a Bing Crosby song! I thought it was his! Thank you..I could never remember the name of the show!
