    Hey coach grant how do you read a defense when they switch the defense mid cadence

    • @firstdowntraining
      @firstdowntraining  6 месяцев назад +1

      That’s mainly about film study. If a team switches a lot you always want to have like a “hot read” which is essentially who you get the ball too if the play fails. And studying film of the team can help you know when to expect them to change the coverage etc.

    Hey do you think the tips you provide in your QB videos well help with just a casual person who plays casual outdoor games even on like a 1 on 1 situation?

    Hey coach thanks again for ur hard work! I have a question, so when u bring the ball back to the "L position" i notice that u never bring the ball below ur hips like i do, i never seem to get a perfect L, the ball always seems to go below my hips when i bring the ball to the
    "L" position. I want to know the pros and cons of that. And if it is bad, what can i do to prevent that. My stride is good, my rotation is good, and i can sling the ball just fine with out a perfect L. And when i do get a perfect L, i don't feel as comfortable as i do, when i dont get the perfect L. Thank u again for everything i've come along way with ur help. I've even helped some of my family with their throwing technique, and now they call me their QB coach lol 😂. Thanks again. God bless ❤

      😂appreciate you man! Glad it could help the whole family. So that’s totally normal for it to feel weird. That will be anything when you change your mechanics a bit. Always feels weird. My issue with you dropping the ball low like that is just your release can take a bit longer. You see guys like Kyler Murray and Bryce young drop it low- but they have insane arm speed because of their hips and torque. So I guess you can get away with it- but those guys are also in the NFL. So that’s my only downside to it, I would try to fix it if you feel your release can get faster. A coach will definitely try to change it

    I’m a WR but is 2 days a week of speed training enough?

    I really want to sign up for your WR and QB training but I'm having trouble justifying $200 for it, what do you recommend? I am someone who just recently got into football with my friends and am goin into high school next year. my dream is to make varsity football so I am willing to do almost anything to get on that level.

      If you want something cheaper I would recommend either one of these programs below. It’s a good starter program and then you can make a bigger investment if you’re hesitant. I would checkout the reviews on it too. Very positive.
