Hi, i am QB for the team from Russia and for me your videos are helping me to understand something that some americans know from their childhood. It's so hard and interesting at one time so i really like it anyways. I want to say ty for your videos and for your help for me cuz there is in rus we have no online lessons like in us. TY, and sorry for my eng)
No worries at all man, thank you so much for the support! Crazy to think all the way from Russia! Please reach out or leave a comment anytime you have questions, would be happy to help

@@firstdowntraining so yes i don't think i have any question for u, i understood everything u said in this video. You actually answered some of my questions with this video, ty again
I got to start varsity for a few games this past season as a freshman, these videos helped me out to become a better player for our team, I appreciate your help!
Hey coach! I just wanted to say I used all your tips and I can almost throw a perfect spiral! But I am not perfect yet! This is my 2-3rd week practicing. Thanks coach!
Appreciate you man, thank you for the support! The best exercises would be finger tip push ups & then farmers carry- which is essentially walking while you carry heavy dumbbells
What’s up coach! I’m 16 years old about 160 lbs and 6’1 (6’2) - (6’3)ish in shoes. I’m fast/athletic and I play basketball. Thinking about trying out for my high school team, but I haven’t had any experience with pads or competitive football. What position would you recommend me to start with? Thanks.
Hey, i love the videos btw I was wondering if you could make a video about how your wrist is suppose to flick to spiral the ball. I often end up flicking it wrong and the ball releases very crazily and inaccurate but if i hold my wrist to stiff and less of a flick it releases very weak and kind of spins to the side.
I’ve been told to have my front foot pointing towards the target when I do that first stride, is this good advice or no? I’m from the uk so I don’t take the coaches advice as biblical cuz the sport isn’t as well known. Especially if you don’t mention it haha
Doesn’t need to be pointed straight there. A lot of guys say that “oh it helps with hip rotation” not true. If anything it can cause a long stride and an over rotation because your front foot isn’t stable. Watch Brady or Rodgers stride. They always have their stride foot slightly to the right of the target and they get plenty of rotation. That’s what I recommend. It’s faster and more stable
i start high school next year and i want to try out for football im 6"0 14 and 165 pounds i dont know what position i should play do you have any recommendations? edit: it would also be my first year actually playing.
It can be from a slight over rotation with your front shoulder. You’d get great benefit out of the first drill on this video: will help a ton keeping your front side stable
The toe point has nothing to really do with the amount of torque. Can it allow you to rotate, absolutely- and I’m not against the front toe pointing to the target. I’ve just seen that when guys do that- they step to the left(if they are right handed) and it causes this long stride. Not necessarily long but it takes a while to get down and it throws off their sequence timing- AKA the shoulders beat the hips in the motion. So you can open the toe but it needs to get down fast and then the front hip drive and back hip drive is what creates torque if it’s going before your shoulders in the sequence. Hope this could help, I’ll make a video on this too
hello coach i want to ask you something so iam a 6foot3 13 year old , my coach want me to play defensive line but i want to play qb so how can i convince him please i really love qb postion
I would say to him you feel that you can “best help the team win at QB” and then I would ask him “what you can do to earn an opportunity to give QB a try”. That’s all you can do, make him give you an answer on what it would take to at least get an opportunity. And then you have to execute

I think you could excel as WR/DB even as a starter.
I would say outside WR is the best spot for you!

I would say you have pretty good size for an outside WR
Coach, I have a pretty good throwing motion but my front foot turns to the left sometimes when I’m throwing is that a bad thing?
It can be from a slight over rotation with your front shoulder. You’d get great benefit out of the first drill on this video: will help a ton keeping your front side stable
