I was excited for this but it’s just OK to me. I think it’s over-priced for the product, because there are cheaper alternatives. The speaker is fine, but like he says, not Bose quality. The distances are accurate, I had no issues. But..the app is not as good as others, IMO. I expect it to get better, but, to me, 18 Birdies and Grint are superior.
Where this excels is the display showing distance to green being large and easy to read. Strong magnet. Scoring right on it is convenient, if you have a membership to do so (I was locked out first time because I wasn’t logged in on app).
This is expensive golf tech that I just believe you can find comparable alternatives much cheaper, especially if you need to keep a membership.
I like it, I just don’t love it for the price (at $200).
Thanks for sharing your feedback! There are a number of options out there that can be found for less or more. I think this hits a sweet spot for functionality and price. I think a lot more companies are jumping on the subscription service bandwagon because it ensures additional income and longer term revenue. As a consumer it can be a bummer, but if they offer worth while features I don’t mind making the investment. I know from my interactions that the team at Blue Tees is constantly working to improve their user experience and tailoring products for all golfers.
This helped me make my decision to just stick with my range finder.

You don’t need a subscription to use Bluetooth. That unlocks additional features for tracking your data and stats. It comes with a year for free so you can determine if you want to keep it or not.
I bought one and love the sound and the display.
On a negative note, Im struggling with the app staying active on my phone during the round. Do you have any suggestions?

I cannot get the device to give distances by pushing the cross tees to get audible distance.
Highly recommend the players pack, for $300 you get the rangefinder, speaker, 6 in 1 divot tool and a complimentary towel for a golf bag. Not bad considering the speaker and rangefinder are over $200 each.

First time using it the drive distance was weird. Did yours ever catch up after more rounds?
Once I got the hang of using my phone with the speaker it seemed to track my distances in realtime with no issues. The average distance it tracked seemed to be similar to my other devices (Garmin) as long as I had my phone on my person.
How do you keep the speaker to keep up on the yardage, once my phone goes off yardage wont update till i unlock my phone every time i move to my ball
I hope you were able to find resolution to this issue! It could be a bluetooth or location setting on your phone. My speaker continues to update with the phone locked and in my pocket or on the cart.
I love mine so far! The only issue I’ve had so far is when entering a score it doesn’t save it even after I select save and go to the next hole.
If it's still an issue you can submit feedback directly in their app. I did for a couple issues and they got back to me really quickly. They appreciate feedback and input so I'd let them know if you haven't already!
Does the speaker audibly give you the distances like the Bushnell wingman?
Yes, it does visual and audible distances.

I may have missed it, but in the phones gps settings for each app there’s a setting for a more precise location. Perhaps that could zero in that 10 yard difference? I’d be curious if that makes any difference.

Can you get the distances announced on the speaker with audio do you know?
Yes, it does give you audible distance as well as show you on screen.
Does yours change to the next hole automatically? My doesn't seem to do that and it's annoying to deal with
Mine does most of the time, but sometimes it will pick a nearby hole vs the one I’m on. I started checking before I enter my score on the app.
Just got mine as a gift. Been researching this for quite a while and did not understand there was any subscription fee involved beyond the 200.00. Also the immediate problem is the yardages seemed to drift back to some other hole and you have to refer to your cell phone and open the lock screen to get the cell phone to read each and every hole. That's ridiculous. This thing should change holes automatically
The subscription is optional after the first year. You will still get a lot of functionality if you don’t renew. As far as the automatic hole detection I would recommend sharing feedback with Blue Tees through the application. In my experience they are quick to respond and have made several updates that have improved my experience with a few things I noticed weren’t working or correct. I hope that helps!
How did you keep score? Does it have to be done through your phone or can you keep score on the device itself

I used my phone, but I think you can enter it on the device directly too. You don’t need a subscription to use the range finder and score keeping features.
I'm having a battery issue. Mine won't come out of unrestricted battery. How do I change it
If you're experiencing an issue I would reach out to Blue Tees customer support. They are extremely responsive and can provide you with the best steps to take!
My concern with this is that there are unprotected speakers on each end. They may be passive radiators, i dont know but the point is id be worried stuffing this into a side pocket of my golf bag and possibly hurting one of these speakers.
I haven't had any issues with that so far. I usually play on a pretty dusty course and I've been able to clean it off easily and it doesn't seem to impact performance. I played a new course yesterday and took it with me in my bag with no issues. I think they are recessed enough that it would take a lot to really damage it.
Will the left side of the speaker ever work, they told me to reset it and I did and the left side is still not working, thank you.
If you’re still having trouble I would reach back out to their support. They are usually pretty good at helping get resolution or replacement.
Don't forget, the speaker is also a power bank for phones and electronics.

My wife bought this for me for my birthday. Still hasn't arrived but now im curious if i even need it? I have golfpro app and just a bt speaker already.
I like that it combines both and is easy to see on the cart without needing to look at my phone. It comes down to personal preference. Features like the large screen, really strong magnetic strip and long battery life make for a compelling device. I have one other bt speaker that straps on to the golf cart roof strut, but the others I’ve used are hanging or sitting somewhere awkward. I say try it out and then make a decision. They have a great return policy.
I guess outside of a speaker I don't understand the need for this. I have a speaker, then I have a range finder that tells me "to the pin".
I think it really depends on personal preference. If you don't want to wear a device or keep something in your pocket I think this is a great option. Or if you want a speaker and just so happen to need a gps device it's nice that they are together. Blue Tees has other great products that are not speakers as well.
Mine doesnt show the correct time or date. Any suggestions?
same here.. customer service sent a email to me. there are 2 connections in the bluetooth settings. connect both and it will be fixed

Another person mentioned this issue and they said after confirming the connections they disconnected and reconnected and the time/date synced successfully. Hope that helps!

What can it do without a membership
You can still use the speaker and basic golf functions. According to their website you can still get GPS distances including front, middle, back. The premium membership gives you hazards, driving distance and score display.

If you’re into data and don’t have another device to capture that data I think it is. If you buy it now I believe you get the first year for free so you can check it out and then decline to renew if that’s the case. If you already get that data elsewhere I think it’s still a good speaker and the distances on the big screen are cool.

does it drain your phone battery?
It will use the battery similar to any other apps that use GPS, but I didn’t notice a rapid decline. I would say it’s on par with other GPS apps I’ve used.

According to their site you should be able to use the device without the premium subscription. You still get distances with front, middle, back and time/date. The premium membership gives you hazards, driving distance and score display.
So $199 for the speaker and then you have to pay for a subscription to use it? i'll stick to my range finder.
You can see the full list of features on their site, but there is a lot of functionality without the subscription. You also get a year for free to try out the subscription before you’d have to pay for it.
Thanks for review video. This is a BIG “NO” for me. If it relies on my phone why would I pay $200 for it. In my opinion it’s worth about $50 to maybe $80 for the device and no subscription should be required. I can already do what it does on my phone with a free app and no subscription. So at the end of the day it’s a speaker with a display of data tracked by your phone. Not worth the expense in my opinion!
Thanks for sharing! Their Ringer GPS handheld could be a great option. It works on its own GPS and gives a lot of information while also tracking a lot of your game so you can understand your game better. If you use my code bogeying it takes 10% off.
You have to pay a subscription to get the yardage after paying $200+?? If so that’s ridiculous and I will not be getting it for that reason alone.
Their website lists the features that work without a subscription and it’s quite a bit. It will still give you yardage without the subscription. You get a year for free when you buy it now so there would be plenty of time to determine if you wanted to renew.

Most of the features will still work if you don’t renew the subscription. Their website lists what those features are. A lot of the paid items are focused on data storage and long term stat tracking.

If you're ok with keeping your phone in your pocket then I get why it works that way. It would provide the most accurate yardages from wherever you are standing. If you're not a big fan of using your phone the Ringer is a good option. The subscription unlocks advanced features and data. There are a lot of features included for free. You also get a year for free so it gives you time to try it out and see if you want to renew.
I’ve had it for a month now and there’s no way I would recommend it. I think the sound quality sucks and the “rich bass” they say it has is completely false advertising. The bass is nonexistent in that speaker.
I just received mine and was trying different music, and I wanna say I agree. I can't wait to try it on the course, tho.
As I''ve continued to use it I've noticed the sound quality can change based on the source or eq settings. When I use iheartradio it sounds way better then when I use Spotify. I've changed some eq settings in Spotify and it sounds a little better now. Regarding bass I think it really comes to life at higher volumes which could distracting on the course if you are not trying to disturb others.
I'm torn on it so far. Sound to me is mediocre. I hate that I have to get my phone out and score every hole. I was hoping I could score on the speaker itself. Also, only one player is kind of a bummer. I've been using golf pro, and I like it syncs with my watch. Magnet works perfectly and it's very accurate. Maybe I just need more time? To be continued....

So, after having this speaker for some time, here's an updated review . So I do like the speaker, and the distances are very accurate. Sound quality is ok but stronger on one side, so I'm not a big fan of that. The app to me is still something I don't use often as you have to save your score every time, and I forget. I fing myself still using my other app as it syncs to my watch and makes it easier for me to use. I always tell myself I'm going to use the Bluetees app but never truly do. There was an update for more players, but they too must have the speaker, and at times, it won't find the other user so I rarely use that feature. In all honesty, I'm pretty much using this just as a speaker and visual distances for whoever is riding with me. The magnetic stip is strong, and that's my favorite feature because it frees room in the cart. Also, there's no case for it . Overall I'd say it's ok
Torture to listen to this long winded video with very little information. You need to modify the length of future videos by taking the square root of the number of words in this video.
