  • @Element_115_
    @Element_115_ Год назад +4

    This does occur. However, that is not the cause of stick drift.
    The real reason that drift occurs is that metal & or plastic housing actually falls down roughly 1 millimeter, causing a gap between the brushes & the graphite contacts. To permanently correct your drift issue, open the controller & place a 1 to 2 millimeter piece of paper/cardboard/something stiff enough to have the housing of the controller push the metal & or plastic housing back into place when the clamshell is joined pushing that gap back into place and the brushes can now contact the graphite pads.
    This will 100% fix/correct the drift problems..

    Another thing you can use is wd40 contact cleaner. NOT REGULAR WD40. it can be found at most stores and it's in a can that says specialist and in green writing says "contact cleaner". I use it all the time on my oculus controllers.

    I had a controller that had horrible drift, and a few days ago I tried to blow out gunk that I thought might be stuck. and SOMEHOW that fixed YEARS of extreme drifting! you don't even need a can of air, just blow on it!

  • @artofcoding212
    @artofcoding212 Год назад +1

    The flaps are NOT THE PROBLEM. You actually do haft to open it up, and it's actually based off of the sensors that calculate the X and Y position, which can easily be touched when moving the joystick around. The flaps absolutely do not cause this issue, and the X and Y calculator components just ware out easily, or in another term, calculate with the numbers way off.

    not talking about how to fix the isue(i already knew) but that's a good theory why joycons are tipicaly depicted to have drift more than other modern controllers.

    I opened the actual joystick box to repair my stick drift and found that the conductive material was being deposited on the tracks that tell where the joycon is. This was on a launch day Switch.

    Unrelated but the same. I fix atms. Card readers get dust built up in them. Doesn’t take much but in time it blocks the locking mechanism and causes the card reader to not release your debit card.

    What I did with mine was-
    1. Drained the batteries.
    2. Poured Isopropyl Alcohol on the analog stick.
    3. Rotate the analog stick in a circular motion.
    4. Dried it.
    5. Recharged the joy-con and tested it and it works like brand new.

  • @ERrnesST
    @ERrnesST Год назад

    everyone is wrong. the problem is that they joy con’s don’t have tension in the back so the pcb can flex which creates bad contact for the sensitive sensors. which is why all solutions require opening and adding some support like cardboard.
