100% agree, I’m only a firefighter but when we went through our 6 month academy we had some class mates on day 1 and mid program quit saying it wasn’t for them. I think a lot of people do get caught up in the glitz and glamor of what they see online and don’t see the extremely hard work you have to put in behind scenes and being expected to preform on day one. Got my first fire the day after I got done precepting only a week on the job and I never been more tired in my life and then I got trailer fire later that day. It’s exhausting with all the gear , in the heat, and the amount of pressure and exertion that is required out of you. I appreciate y’all and hope to join y’all one day once I get water con together but keep doing what you are doing and preaching the realities of the job!

I’m looking online for asvab score for SR. It’s saying I need a 49 general score to go to selection but I have also seen way high scores. So what asvab score do I need?
