Thank you, Dr. Ellis for championing this cause. 🙏 Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that my own female doctor, my primary care physician, more than 15 years younger than me, attractive, married with four children would 1) Groom and LURE me into an “annual physical” using Prozac as a leash 2) Sexually abuse me right in front of the nurse who was ostensibly there to “chaperone” and 3) BLAST me into the bizarre psychological universe known as narcissism.
What made it all the more incomprehensible was that I had such respect and admiration for her. And I couldn’t even reconcile how this charming, accomplished and attractive woman could actually be a vile, treacherous monster who would make me TERRIFIED of women I would have usually found attractive before. I already suffered from PTSD after having survive a plane crash, and my own female doctor, MARRIED with FOUR children saw me as PREY or “narcissistic supply” as they describe it.

I live in New Jersey and can't find a therapist that specializes in male survivors. Please help. I ruin everything I touch and just want to be productive

Fcking Hell. I'm in the same boat. Even professional therapists stigmatize and discriminate against male SA survivors. The first thing they assume is that you are a pedo. It seems most people in general think that. No wonder men don't want to tell anybody.

I can't help but wonder if Dr Amy Ellis is related to the famous Dr Albert Ellis.

While I’m sympathetic with gender non-conforming people, if you were born with female reproductive anatomy, that’s definitely not a man. In the same way some women are offended at being considered the same as biological male who identifies as female, many of men do not regard “trans men” as men. That’s just the way it is. For example, women who are lesbians typically aren’t attracted to any “trans women.” These “trans women” just don’t register as women in their brains.
None of this is to say that gender nonforming people don’t deserve the same dignity and freedom from oppression as anyone else, but it’s also not entirely reasonable for gender nonconforming individuals to impose their view of themselves upon others. If someone else sees them for who they see themselves as, then that’s their choice.
