Don't you love that when they ask you where you at? What time are you coming home? Or my favorite, are you on your way home? But as soon as you walk in, they are asleep or taking a nap. But one thing is they don't complain about the money that comes in the door every day.
Thank you for your videos. It's so refreshing to see a regular guy, speaking straight and being real! I am in construction in Florida and and use your tips. Love the family involvement!
Put the "control valve" up and carefully slide the whole box down the stairs. That B vent would never pass here in Calif...just say'n. Connect an air hose to the hot side of heater... and a garden hose to the cold (or drain spigot, but it's usually clogged) and force 90% of the water up and out of the basement in record time. I never fill the heater with water until the pilots lit... in case it has a bad control valve or pilot system... It's happened twice in my 40 yr. career. If the home owner has little kids I make a few windows in the box and the mothers tell me they played in it for days. Nice vid bro.
Enjoy your videos-good content and tips. Your nephew Nemo is a crack apprentice, sweating copper and being your right hand man as just a school kid! I see some of these other apprentices on you tube, on the job for a year standing around watching and still having to be told righty tighty, lefty loosey.
I knew you were going to swing the gas line. Keep up the great work. I follow all of your channels and I have learned some good tricks of the Trade’s. Thank you 👍
Good on you for taking the old tank. Real professionals do. Half assers leave the tanks behind. Probably explains why you see so many old tanks left behind in rentals; landlords don't want to pay a professional.
I've hauled a lot of hot water tanks by myself I take two 12-in black iron nipples screw them on the top of the tank so that when it's on the cart got something to hang on to then transfer them to the old tank it helps get that out too. Now at my age I get help it's not worth the lousy Almighty dollar to pull my back out
Forgot about the youtube station still here for the same 2 reasons: out of state plumbers who want to say you're doing it wrong and the trusty handyman who will say the same 😂
Did I need to watch putting in a hot water tank? No but did watch the entire video because I intrigued? Yes. Great videos, I have learned quite a bit from your videos. Keep it up
I’ve been a plumber since I was 18 jumped into the trade because my uncle seen me doing jack shit Im 26 now haven’t looked back Always watch Your videos 👍🏽 keep it up BOSS Them after hour calls must be 💰💰💰
I like working in the basement by myself, but one time I had to work in the basement of Willowbrook psychiatric hospital on Staten Island, they supposedly shut it down in around 87, but it wasn’t it was partially operating, that basement ran for miles and it had old rooms connected to it that I had to walk through and there was no lights and there was still toys and chairs with dust and dirt all over them and books still open on the desk, you can hear big steel doors, slamming, probably a mile away through these tunnels, it was the dead of winter and I had to work late. I was only a helper and there was a leak that had to be fixed and I got volunteered, creepiest place ever been in, I quit and became a cop
I've never seen a vacuum breaker on a heater only been plumbing for fourty years in California we have earthquakes so we flex our water and gas service and strap our heaters
I have to repeat a million times. We dont work in its 5. We're done. Can you imagine in the middle of getting your nails done. The guy gets up. Shuts the lights and says you gotta go. You question why. He responds well its 5.
What do you think of the electric Rudd water heaters? I’m in MA and just got one swapped out with a new 55g ruud. I see most people trash them in plumbing groups but do you use them regularly without any issue ?
When the wife asks how much longer, it always makes the night more stressful

You're a gentleman who cleans up after his mess. I hate to see techs leave old equipment on site.
The comment about your wife asking what time you’ll be home had me laughing.
My wife does that me all the time on the job and it drives me nuts lol
It's a jinx voodoo
My wife finally stopped asking after 20 yrs of marriage. Going on 34 now.

Plumbers supply is simply the best ! We exclusively use only them ( Will in Watertown is practically family )

Lol looks like we got some f***en problems he says
You da man!!
Pretty simple open system healthy pressure no expansion tank. Closed system ie prv back flow and now smart meters expansion goes in
Hey they make this thing call a tape measure
I guess it is a California thing regarding heater straps?
I’ve done countless tanks and have never used an expansion tank
It's code in some areas
Do you just take the old water heaters to a scrap yard?
Does thar mean you got the wrong size? Or they ordered the wrong size?
What do you do with the old water heaters
Poor wives
What do you think of the electric Rudd water heaters? I’m in MA and just got one swapped out with a new 55g ruud. I see most people trash them in plumbing groups but do you use them regularly without any issue ?
It’s all I use , my supply house pushes that brand
Happy 🦃 day

What world do you live in?
@@michaeldudas7584by that price point a nice one 😅
If it was a bigger service company then yea but maybe since its his own company (i think) then its probably a little under 2 grand. Just my guess
@@michaeldudas7584you’d be surprised how expensive it is to get a plumbing company to do anything these days
@@michaeldudas7584 LOL in CO I know companies that charge $3700
You’ve got luck like me…

Can’t you use a flexible gas line where you are….
vac relief only needs to be above the top of the tank
no specific measurement
No sound
