It was also used for various BBC BTCC broadcasts in the odd snippet here and there. They also did an F1 season review for the 1994 season titled 'Who Else but Schumacher!' which used this as the background music. Good Times!
"First news of 94 is the announcement in Paris that Olivier Beretta will partner Eric Comas at Larousse, as the team switches from Lamborghini to Ford V8 power" Despite Senna and Roland's deaths, that season was awesome on the technical aspect. 14 teams, nearly every driver scored points (in a time where only the top-6 per race were awarded), such variety of engines (V8, V10, V12)... The way Formula 1 should be
I first heard this track on the BTCC game on ps1 and loved it, so glad that the actual track is alot longer than what was featured on the game intro as its such a good track
"First news of the '94 is the announce did in Paris that Olivier Beretta will partner Erik Comas at Larrousse as the team switches from Lamborghini to Ford V8 power..."
“Mark Blundell land on Tyrell drives alongside Katayama” “at Silverstone the new Jordan Hart B194 stun Rubens Barrichello on his debut” “Benetton announce that JJ Lehto will partner Michael Schumacher and also sign young Dutchman Jos Verstappen”
This being played on the green flag lap of a Super Touring race at Brands Hatch last weekend (1-2/7/23 for future reference) was a top tier move. This song for me will always be the BTCC theme tune.
For anyone interested, I have set up a playlist on Spotify for all the tracks Fabio has kindly identified. Just search 'F1 94' and they're there in the same order that they're played on the video review. 🙂
P.D. Que opinan ustedes.
where from could you get hands on this particular track? I'm wondering if FIA ever put out an album with the bgms would pay for them if there would be an album for them out there
I got the impression that Schumacher that season just backed off after Senna died. He had a great car and was making 'a close' end of season look much better than it actually was. I think Schumacher could've won every single race from Monaco. He even got a two race ban, an unfortunate Belgian gp points loss after spinning on a high kerb and still won the title. The 'glitch' at the final race was a mistake, but he didn't really make a big error all season before that and let's face it, he deserved the title by far. Damon was a great test driver who could actually drive as fast as the best guys, but he wasn't a 'racer.'
even today, the Benetton team and Schumacher should be stripped of the 94 titles. Walkinshaw and Briatore were serial cheats. Illegal software hidden in the car.... launch and traction. Illegal fuel rig flow..... need i carry one.

@@msw279 Unfortunately I can't find this track ("Santus" by Richard Phillips from "The Need to Fly" cd, BOCD 161, Bosworth Music) anywhere... Have you got it?
Oh, this was also used in TOCA Touring Car Championship! Never thought I'd hear it in a Formula 1 season review of all things.
I thought it was 100% a made-for-the-game kind of deal

Yeah... just wish we didn't lose two great drivers. Otherwise this could of been one of the best seasons.
The narrator for that opening line sounds just like Ace Rimmer! If only it was, there could be so many puns
I had both that and the 1993 D1 season reviews on VHS, watched them a lot! Surprisingly, Jonathan Ross was a great narrator as well!
Thanks so much Fabio my man, this takes me right back to when i raced in 1994. The great days of formula 1 yeah.
+Taki Inoue You're welcome :)
+Taki Inoue Are you the actual Taki Inoue????
Taki Inoue in the Simtek and Footwork (1994 and 1995) ;)
What was it like racing in that downpour in Suzuka 94?
@@HammerLex77 it's the real deal
i recently found this song in a video about 90s supertouring.
I feel honoured to have came across this song.
It's also the intro of TOCA Touring Cars Championship. The official game of the 1996 BTCC season.

I feel pure 90's at this music. I'm from 2001 but I love 80's and 90's in style of life and of course the best Formula One seasons.
The 1994 and 1995 reviews are some of the best, and the soundtracks are my absolute favorites!
And the soundtracks are from most of the same artists as well. The music was ahead of its time, simply brilliant
Found the VHS out for this earlier, this song gives me a lot of nostalgia from when I use to watch the season reviews growing up.
Hill, Senna, Schumacher..Alesi, Mansell...fantastic years... amazing song..
Berger and Hakkinen as well :)
rip senna
The last great golden years of the sport!
Perfect racing tune, I made a whole album video with this kind of music.
TOCA Touring Car Championship music
So thats what you prefer instead of Wills Wii. Oh sorry, W-I-I.
I never thought of it at the time I originally watched these Duke Reviews, but the intro music is awesome 🙏
This is such an intro type song - I like it
The optimism of this song betrays the horrible events that eventually happen at Imola.
One of the best F1 reviews, probably the best one along with 1995
agreed and my thoughts as well
Also loved the '93 review.
Yeah that’s not bad either with Jonathon Ross commentary

Yup, though it was a given a fresh sound.
Thanks for uploading.
I have been looking for this track for years!
Was the TOCA British Touring Car Championship theme on PS1 too - great times!
Also used by London radio station LBC Newstalk as a late night phonein theme in the early 90s
It was indeed and the host was ‘Dangerous’ Dave Luddy.
I actually called in a couple of times myself. 😀
Oh my God so much memories !
You've made my week...no, my year. Thanks for the upload.
Music 90s dance 😁🎧
Amazing. I never thought I'd find this song in my life!
The best OST of.... TOCA touring car championship on PS1 (1997)
Banger.
This song IS mid 90s F1 lol. Everytime i hear it, (besides this vid, obviously), i know im gonna see some awesome racing from when i was a kid 🏎🏁
Did it reach the UK charts at the time? I may have read somewhere that it did but I could be wrong.

The best era of Formula one 1980- 1994 :)
It reminds me so much of Super Touring. I find it hard to watch the 94 F1 review as it’s too painful to go watch Imola.
