Copper is one of the few metals that can occur in nature in a directly usable metallic form (native metals). This led to very early human use in several regions, from c. 8000 BC. Thousands of years later, it was the first metal to be smelted from sulfide ores, c. 5000 BC; the first metal to be cast into a shape in a mold, c. 4000 BC; and the first metal to be purposely alloyed with another metal, tin, to create bronze, c. 3500 BC.[8] In the Roman era, copper was mined principally on Cyprus, the origin of the name of the metal, from aes cyprium (metal of Cyprus), later corrupted to cuprum (Latin). There have been interesting comments from native German speakers that point out that Panzermensch more likely means cyborg than someone associated with a tank. I was wondering about that myself, since some of the lines don't really make sense when you're talking about tanks but do make sense when you're talking about "armored" or "iron" people (different translation of Panzermensch).
As a native German. I think the word play in this song is intended. Panzer means armor , and Tank. But not allways. In some contexts armor is PANZERUNG and amored Human, would be GEPANZERTERMENSCH german is a complex language .
As a Slav, German and Italian I can say this song is a banger. In 2015 we moved to Germany but now I have friends and I blast this when they pass me the aux cord lmao

banger the great irony here is that this track doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with tanks. yes, ‘panzer’ means tank in german, but only as a clipping of panzerkampfwagen (armoured fighting car). the ‘panzer’ root simply refers to armour plating or shielding, and has been employed in this sense since at least the middle ages. in addition to the references to computers, ‘panzermensch’ (armoured person) can probably be understood as ‘robot’ or ‘cyborg’. this is in keeping with the industrial genre’s affinity for identification with the machine, the robotic cadence of the music, etc.

Imperial Citizen: Give me a good reason why I would volunteer into becoming a mindless servitor with forklifts for arms.
Adeptus Mechanicus:
I heard servitors are mostly artificially grown. Also I heard some noble baby was turned into one because it was at death's door, yet it was needed for smth. Warhammer is quite interesting universe lmao
@@-WarCriminal-22 well, prisoners and heretics are often used for servitor-conversion. vat growing things is expensive, prisoners arent.
@@vernstein3877 yet there's not enough prisoners AND vat growing brains isn't as expensive when you need more and more of servitors every day. They had to and now most of servitors were grown in vats

ENG/GER lyrics
Your steps are so beautiful.
Let's dance the reunion.
Our gazes are so strong.
Everyone dances how I say.
Weak legs stand still.
Tank man move on.
Let's celebrate the energy.
This force will never disappear.
Computer, Machine, Tank Men
Go straight ahead.
Go straight ahead.
Computer, Machine, Tank Men
Go straight ahead
Let it out!
We fight for the victory parade.
Tank men never get enough.
Wars are there for the dance.
Our freedom is so close.
Computer, Machine, Tank Man
Go straight ahead.
Go straight ahead.
Computer, Machine, Tank Man
Go straight ahead
Let it out!
Be ready (always ready)
Be ready (always ready)
Be ready (always ready)...
Here comes the Tank man
(Machine)
(Computer, Machine)
Our bodies are so hot
Strobe fire, proud sweat
Live up these rhythms
Go straight ahead and let it out!

Deine Schritte sind so schön
Tanzen wir das wiedersehen
Unsere Blicke sind so stark
Jeder tanzt wie ich es sage
Schwache Beine bleiben stehen
Panzermensch weitergehen
Feiern wir die Energie
Diese Kraft verschwindet nie

Geh geradeaus

the great irony here is that this track doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with tanks.
yes, ‘panzer’ means tank in german, but only as a clipping of panzerkampfwagen (armoured fighting car).
the ‘panzer’ root simply refers to armour plating or shielding, and has been employed in this sense since at least the middle ages.
in addition to the references to computers, ‘panzermensch’ (armoured person) can probably be understood as ‘robot’ or ‘cyborg’. this is in keeping with the industrial genre’s affinity for identification with the machine, the robotic cadence of the music, etc.
