This soundtrack is cool! I never had this game when I was a kid, but I purchased the UK PC release of this game (I couldn't find a decent copy of the North American PC release) a few months ago and enjoyed it! I also liked other European rally games, like Rally Trophy, Master Rallye, and Rallisport Challenge.

Stage 4, actually - Pundershaw. And it's a little over 42km long.
EDIT: Dark, huh? Gotta be Chirdonhead then, actually. And it's the first stage of the abovementioned rally.

Heck yes, the A8 Championship is quite a challenge!
Only thing I remember is myself driving a Ford Puma on a night snowy track and getting lost in the woods.

this game was an xmas present for me in 00 or 01
I had Pentium MMX 166MHz 32MB RAM
and my parents had no idea I couldnt run that game on my machine :D
thats the reason I never stopped play the game cause I still think its a great game!

I always took the MK4 vw Golf SONY and my sister the megane. Nice to remind that good times! What an incredible soundtrack! The developpers was maybe a Ravers!

Yes, it was inspired by that exact track! That gorgeous melody with it’s unusual timing. Also took some inspiration from Energy 52’s Cafe Del Mar and other summer club tunes from that era 😍🎶😎

The 1st and 2nd are the best . I was young when i played this game so can remeber only teh 1st 3 songs but i rly like only 1st adn 2nd . And teh 1st is just the best . And i am almost crying when i am listening this music ;)

Is there any game today that provides rallying in total darkness for > 40 minutes?
In Forza Horizon 4 you can race on 20+ minutes community made tracks, "dirt racing" is supposed to be rally, but I find cross country much more exciting.
The "rain" is just a drizzle, night is not even close to total darkness and you can't brake the lights, but you can pick some similar cars, namely EVO 6 (4 & 5), Escort Cosworth (RS 2000 & Maxi), Civic Type R (VTi), Golf R32/ VR6 Mk3 (GTI MKIV), Subaru 22B STi 1999 (WRC 1997), Ford Puma 1999 (1998) and put rally decals on them to make it look like the cars in this game.
It's not perfect, but it's the closest thing I've had to this game in 20 years.

Long ago, when I was playing the game, I could not get past the first series of the races because of tyres. The instruction manual to the game said to press and hold button when they need to be replaced, I did, nothing happened at all, button didn't work. Anyone had same experience?

Does anybody know how to host game or join game, i tried on 2 different pc via modem, but it doesnt work for some reasepn, pls help?!
In case you still haven't solved it:
1. Come on Discord more often, lol. We have multiple commands containing solutions to common problems.
2. [copied an above-mentioned command] To play Rally Championship 2000 in online multiplayer mode, you must:
1) Download Hamachi or other virtual network software
2) Create or join an existing network using the abovementioned software
3) Launch the game and enter the "networked rally" screen
4) Go to "network settings" and set the:
-connection to "TCP/IP"
-remote host IP to the virtual IP of the person who's hosting the game
5) Join the game
Note: the Guru Meditation error seems to occur more often than usual in multiplayer, so it's recommended to limit the FPS beforehand.

Azért valljuk be, a nosztalgiaértéktől eltekintve ez a zene nagyon nem jól öregedett így húsz év elteltével, ma már sehol nem hallani ilyen hangzású adekvát tüccögést, talán idősödő instagrampicsák tesznek még ilyesmiket a mindentkirakós sztorivideóik alá (ámbár már asse olyan menő, amelyik képben van, már rég áttért a tiktokra) :)
