ABCD was an incredible track but some people wanted to be critical for the sake of being so. There are so many artists out there that never experiment outside their base sound and everyone complains it sounds the same for a decade yet they eat it up cuz it’s all they get. Meanwhile nayeon and twice experiment with their sound constantly while still having a core happiness and strength to their tracks yet people are demeaning cuz they hate seeing them succeed.
I really think unfortunately she was fighting a battle of success lol. she really took the world by storm with pop but then unfortunately thats all people wanted from her
