You made a good guess that Jeongyeon would be the leader she was actually going to be the leader of a group called 6Mix which was suppose to debut before Twice but during Sixteen it was obvious that Jihyo should be the leader and since the Two are true soulmates and Jeongyeon doesn't care about being leader I'm sure she told everyone lets all vote for Jihyo. Jeongyeon is the rock on which Twice's greatness is built she leads by example and all the members know this. 2018 was the most stressful time in Twices career because YES they put out 5 mini albums in one year, also he didn't mention that they also did a tour thru Asia and did 10 M/V's, when did they sleep. They struggled but at the end of that year they thru off the shackles of JYP. The song that tells you they were free and at ease is "The best thing I ever Did" in that M/V it starts with them in different places and obviously not happy but ends with them being together and they all have huge smiles, they were just fine. The one line I would point to is "the best thing I NEVER did was break up with you" face palm. One last comment about Jeongyeon (my bias), yes she has a sister they actually both were going to join JYPE but seongyeon decided to go to YG and was suppose to debut with Red Velvet but she didn't want to compete with her little sister so she went into acting (she's even won an award).
