fan fact: holding an Arisaka with bayonet increases your wish to fight to the death for the Emperor by +200% another fan fact: at that point you want to switch sides and stab the GI's.
During this mission where you had to do all the airstrikes on the buildings, they did a huge banzai charge. I used an Arisaka Bayonet at that time and charged right into melee combat. Satisfying as hell.
Apparently I don't think banzai charges were even used during the battle of Iwo Jima because the Japanese general that was defending Iwo Jima, General Tadamichi Kuribayashi, didn't like the idea of banzai charges.
I'm glad I'm not the only that wants a WWI game. I would love to get into close quarter combat like in WaW. Plus they could add horses like in BO2 and bring back tanks with the same mechanics as WaW. So many things you can do and a whole lot more 'exotic' factions. Ottomans, Persians, Italians, Indians, various Africans and so on and so forth.
Literally, you had your dream come true. Battlefield 1 was also a good world war game with darkness and gritty, the story of both singleplayer and Operations from MP are absolutely gorgeous and perfect
A Blockbuster WW1 FPS would be a dream come true. Given the fact that from WW1 stems almost every major military confrontation since (including WW2). I'd say it's long overdue for an FPS of it's own.
Iwo Jima would kinda suck. It's virtually all Volacanic ash (no trees, no jungle, nothing) and the Japanese fought it all out in bunkers, so no Banzai Charges.
Landing on the beach and waiting in eerie silence until the Japanese fire would be cool. Also climbing Mt. Suribachi would be interesting. Remember, Iwo Jima was actually pretty large. There were two airfields, valleys, ridges, plateaus etc. Also it would be fun to explore the cave systems.
Didn't this play during the ambush in Semper Fi, the "who killed these", and in the final section with the c4? I don't remember this game much, but the mission layout I remember well
Go back and learn more of Iwo Jima. They conducted a good amount of Banzai Charges just not alot because of the competence of their commanding officer who knew the US military well and they almost always did it at night to prevent planes, ships and artillery blowing they asses up. There were trees and other things just obviously not alot plus there were small village-like towns. Cave-tunnel warfare would be new and requires tactical fighting. Better that than usual BO2-MW3 mindless shooting.
Since when do deep sounding drums mean it can only play in a jungle? That's like saying only hip hop and rap (beginnings-2001) can be played in New York and California or Reggae only in Jamaica.
Yeah. It would definitely be better than the mindless hollywood cliches in MW3. But it would be instant overkill for anyone with a flamethrower, kinda like real life, but that's not very fun for multiplayer.

@@Dreadwaffle7 wrong mission bro, this is literally the first Mission of the game, you are talking about the last pacific campaign mission.
@@Dominique9325 I know, I wasn't talking about the mission attached to this music, just an experience I had with one of the weapons in the game

I know this comment was made in 2010, but it’s cool now that this sounds like the Iwo Jima EOR for Battlefield V
Dude! Holy shit, what a coincidence cause they made an Iwo Jima map for Battlefield 5 and it sounds like it! Play it, it's a pretty good game
@@ShadowAssassin88 yep he was the only general that showed more empathy towards his men. He cares more about saving lives then taking them.
Finally one that doesn't have the epic strings cut off!
When you spot the sniper and the sniper spots you in multiplayer games:
"Miller! They killed the Sarge!"
The bastards killed him, you son of a bitches!
In my gameplay they killed Miller lmao
:'(
Amazing song that puts you right on the spot, gotta love those drum hits at 0:21
This song is sexy. I like the light flashing in and out during the ambush.
Its mainly just wen it goes "DAAAAAAAA...... DAAAAAAA" thats main reason y i like it cuz it sounds hella intense
