Two things. One is they are nylon locking nuts so blue locktite is not needed. Two is that the screws are supposed to come up from the bottom to reduce drag. It’s right in the installation manual.

Thanks for your videos, they are excellent. I am buying a Gheenoe LT-25 and my delivery date is in the month of May. Have you noticed any difference in WOT speed since you placed the Hydrofoil Junior on the Outboard? Have you noticed gain or decreased top end MPH on your boat? Please advise. Thank you.

I looked but didn't see where you did the follow-up video to tell how you liked this mod.

The Hydro Foil definitely helps with keeping the front down on the Gheenoe. So far everything works great.

So this helps when you are solo right? But how about if you have a second person in the boat? Do you get a wetter ride?

I change the tilt of the outboard using the tilt lock pin on my 8hp. If i go solo or have someone in the front.

@@gheenoeguy1510 So if you tilt the motor up using the lock pin, you are able to get more bow rise to accommodate a second person, even with the hydrofoil attached? Would you say it is somewhat equivalent to what that bow rise was before adding the hydrofoil?
I fish with a friend regularly, but when I do run solo, I fill two 5 gallon dry bags with water and place them up front as ballast. It does a decent job at keeping the bow down, but obviously that 80+ pounds of weight slows me down, and can make it difficult to paddle in the wind. I saw that there is a foil available for my motor. I am just not sure how it will affect the overall bow rise with the second person aboard. Even with the motor titled one position today, taking on other boat wake can be a "wet experience." I am wondering if the foil would further drive the bow down with a second person aboard. If I had to tilt 2 positions, the motor would suck air if the person up front boarded before I did.

@@chelenthal I used to use 2 bags of 45 pound salt in the front when I was fishing alone but the tilt pin adjustment fixed that problem but always remember to adjust it back I almost submarined when I forgot and had someone in the front
