Hello Martin! Glad to see you again! I'm happy you enjoyed the review-I was actually pretty pleased with this one. Oh, and if you like the horn on this model, just wait 'till you see the next video I've got planned. 😁 Good to hear from you, as always. Cheers!
Thanks for another excellent review. I enjoy the French knives and their interesting regional history also. I have a couple by Au Sabot but not the LeThiers, both have the horn handles.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I try my best to be as detailed as possible, but sometimes end up making my videos too long in the process! Regardless, I quite like this brand and pattern, not to mention the horn! Thanks again for watching. Cheers!
I put comfort in hand above most things with a knife and that example looks to hit the spot, I still don't have a Buffalo Horn handle one day soon I hope. Great review as always cheers. 😁
Another sterling offering, sir! I am fond of buffalo horn as one ingredient in a wood-based handle recipe. One traditional knife handle is found on Japanese kitchen knives that use buffalo horn for the bolster, followed by a pale wood handle. Visually the contrast is appealing but the horn being water resistant and tough makes for an excellent bolster, whilst the wood offers superior grip and a light weight. For an all-horn handle I'll jump at Ramshorn. Talismanic for me.
@@dongkhamet1351 I believe I've seen the type of handle you are describing, although I can't place where. 🤔 I find it fascinating how well horn contrasts with woods of varying types. It reminds me of an old Michael May knife which featured Oak scales and a jet collar...quite the stunner, I must say! Thanks for watching, as always! Cheers!
What a lovely knife, shame it's over the limit for us here in England, 😢,, (as if that would prevent my purchase, 🤣) ps, I'm sat here with a bandaged finger, after a particularly violent sneeze, whilst fondling my Spyderco Police) All the best my friend, from across the pond,, 👍
@@John..18 Oh dear, that sounds painful!! 😱 Sneezing near sharp objects sounds like a recipe for disaster. 😅 Thanks for stopping in, as always and I'm glad you enjoy the knife! Cheers!
Very handsome knife! Thanks for showing it off, buddy!
Indeed it is, my friend! Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you very much! 😊 I feel honoured, hearing that from someone with such an extensive knowledge of French cutlery.

Brilliant video, mate. I'm with you. Horn can be a brilliant handle material 👌.
